Description: "Fill-a-Pita is a fast-casual Middle Eastern eatery, serving fresh vegetarian and halal food to busy executives who want a healthy meal. Our pilot store started in April 2013 at 3 Sheton Way. However, we closed this location on September 10, 2015 and will open our new location soon. The menu is 100% vegetarian and 100% halal - mostly sandwiches in pita (Arabic) bread, salads and dips. Everything is prepared onsite daily except for our pita bread. Our wholemeal pita is sourced freshly baked every morning from a local bakery. There is no egg in any of our menu and many items can be had without garlic and onion. Our pitaria also serves a breakfast offering and offers a typical Egyptian street food of rice / macaroni and lentil dish with spicy red pepper sauce (fried onions are optional) - every Thursday and Friday. Our own twist on this dish is use of brown rice to make it healthier. Our falafel pita (served with tomato, lettuce and tahina sauce) remains our best seller. We prepare it the Lebanese / Israeli way (using chickpeas - not beans). Our chilli sauce is very popular and our yoghurt garlic dip, to add to your falafel, is gaining a steady fan base. We hope to further expand the Singapore market's appetite for Middle Eastern / Arabic food and provide new tastes for the many vegetarians who work in the CBD and those who wish to enjoy meatless meals. Insights to our food preparation We use Extra Virgin Olive Oil in preparing our dishes We use Canola Oil, however, to fry our Falafels Our food is 100% vegetarian (none of our dishes contain egg) Our food is 100% halal (no alcohol or pork extract in anything we make) We do not charge GST nor Service charge (however, we go out of our way to provide good service every time). Finally, we apologize if your wait time is over 15 minutes between 12:15 and 1:30 PM daily (our peak business times). We would encourage customers in a hurry to come just before Noon or after 1:30 PM.

“Delicious falafel, hummus, pita and more! ”
Reviewed January 20, 2014 via mobile

Fill a Pita is a great place to go for a delicious yet nutritious middle eastern lunch. The falafel is not at all oily, and served in toasted Pita bread stuffed with salad and tahini. Do try the red pepper hummus and the baba ghanoush (pureed eggplant) too - both are really tasty. Service is always provided with a smile too - the owner of this stall looks after customers well. There are a whole group of regulars already... And I am happy to be one of them!

Neil,

We are very pleased to have you as one of our "regulars". Your feedback on the food and willingness to try new combinations of our (not too extensive) menu are much appreciated.

So keep coming back often and do keep the ideas coming.

Thank you and all the best,

“Best middle eastern cafe in Singapore”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

My friends and I came across this unexpected gem when our usual weekday lunch place Lau Pa Sat closed down for renovations. We were pleasantly surprised to find a Middle Eastern vegetarian restaurant and curiously tried it out. We have been regular visitors since then. The food is delicious and the service deserves 10 stars!
I would highly recommend the falafel pita and babaganoush (and these can be paired up with a refreshing lemonade from the next counter), and their hummus is really good too. Overall, a must-try if you work in the city area and a good place to catch up with friends over lunch.

“Little Gem in Shenton Way”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

We had gone to Singapore over the Christmas break and wanted to checkout some new eats. We were looking for vegetarian places (we are vegetarian) and were pleasantly surprised to find Fill-a-Pita, an ALL vegetarian mediterranean restaurant.

We had a delightful platter of - baba ganaoush (egg plant), Hummus, Labne cheese and beans; served with hot pita. The food was fresh, light, and some of the best mediterranean I have had world over. The dishes were finger licking good and our kids couldn't have enough of it.

There is also a fresh fruit juice stand inside the restaurant and we downed a delightful lemonade as well. We missed out on the Falafel as they had run out of them.

If you are looking for vegetarian options or simply good mediterranean food in Singapore, you must check this out.

Note: it is a lunch only place.
