Forget booking a flight to Vietnam, being disappointed with the hotel when you get there or taking a chance on local food, if you need some local Vietnamese food try Saigon Sandwich! Having been to Vietnam several times, this place certainly resembles the real thing as far as food is concerned. I particularly like the baguettes priced at $5.90 and full of whatever meat, and fresh veggies you choose. The bread is served warm and is baked 'Vietnam style' (crispy on the outside, soft on the inside). There are plenty of choices on noodle, rice, appetizers, drinks, etc. it's a bit self service as you write down on a menu what you want and then take it up to the till and pay. If I could fault anything it would be the timing of the food coming out which tends to be a bit slow . . . But worth waiting for! No frills. Not fancy. But good value for money and fresh Vietnamese fare. Love it!!
