Fee: No
Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: A short trip from the city center lies the serenity of MacRitchie Reservoir, part of Singapore’s water catchment system that captures rain water to help supply the island’s growing population. Trails surround the park, which has an upgraded visitor’s center featuring a café, restrooms and information station. The best views are from the TreeTop Walk, a 250-meter suspension bridge across the rainforest canopy, which can be accessed along the seven-kilometer Venus Loop. Wear hiking shoes and bring water.

“Good Nature Hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

This can be 2.5-3 hours if you want it to be. You will forget for a while you are in a big city. Watch out for the monkeys at Venus Drive!

“Nice place for running!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

It's definitely a perfect place for running! Watching sunset and back to the nature. I am impressed with how Singapore reserve the nature for the residents.

“Where the wild things are..........”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

A great spot to get away from the bustle of Orchard Road and even better if you are a runner. Good trails well marked and the odd monitor lizard and macaque to keep you on your toes but as yet none of the claimed crocs although investment bankers gasping as they puff around McRitchie make good substitutes!!
