The Changi tour will take you through some of the main sites relevant to the defense of Singapore and finishes up at the Kranji War Memorial. Extremely well presented and maintained memorial and with the right guide, is very enlightening.
Very humbling experience especially when you see all the names of soldiers and civilians of the many different nationalities that served to defend the small island.
Finished off with a small ceremony to pay our respects to those lives lost.

Any history buff should take the time to make it to the Kranji War Memorial. The park is kept clean and manicured and is a serene place to give thanks to those who fought for their country. I suggest taking a guided history or WWII tour because there are many other related sites in the area that you don't want to miss.

Easy to get there, take a bus from the bus stop right in front of Kranji MRT when you exit. 2 stops, and then walk in to the memorial area.

Not crowded and not touristy, just a place to take a look and soak in the well maintained flowery shrubs at every stone carved tomb.

Would be nice if I had a guide to run me through some interesting facts about the place and tell some story about the people that used to serve our nation - lest we forget.

This is a very moving place, with a lovely memorial to the fallen of WW2. It was really moving to read the names of men, and women, from all over the globe who died in this conflict, in particular the engraved messages from families.

OK, we were always going to come here on our travels but be prepared for everyone in Singapore to NOT know about or where this place is. You can catch the train to Kranji or get ataxi. taxi ride is $25 and takes half an hour. Make sure taxi driver understands where hes going. Best directions for them is its near the race course. Very moving place. There is no shop ect its just a place to come and pay your respects.
