Description: Opened in November 2012, The Halia at Raffles Hotel is the latest and third addition to The Halia group of restaurants in Southeast Asia. The 100-seater restaurant, housed in the premises of the former Seah Street Deli, is an inviting space with lush planted foliage complemented by wood-carved tables and daylight streaming in through classic French windows. The restaurant prides itself on a refreshing concept which encourages flexibility and communal dining, with dishes classified under "large plates" or "little plates" instead of the usual "appetizers" and "mains". It also boasts an al fresco bar, which serves up its signature Singapore Sling by Hendrick's.

Amazing evening at Halia. Live music, chilli crab linguine and Singapore Slings - beautiful night and setting

Great food, located in the historic Raffles Hotel building. The Bar is in the courtyard and there's live Jazz on Saturdays. The restaurant seating is separated from the bar and this provides a quiet setting if you want to have a conversation or host a business dinner.

Service in the Singapore has gotten downhill over the past few years. So examples of extraordinary service must be given its due. The visibly short staffed restaurant was managed brilliantly by the team. I could not see any instance of missed (or mixed) orders and angst on the faces of the patrons.

Must make special mention of Kenga who was our host for the evening, the promptness of service, the attention to detail and all this with genuiness that is hard to find these days.

Food - excellent, every menu item has its own distinct flavor, some even have a local touch (Chili Crab Spaghetti), there's "healthy" Fish and Chips where the fish is cured as opposed to batter fried. Must try the Salmon Carpaccio and the Smoked Duck appetizer.

The twice cooked chicken is awesome if you have a big appetite, the steaks are great too, fish choices are a must try.

Decent selection of wines and "halia infused" cocktails/mocktails to remain true to the theme.

Overall a great visit, made even pleasurable by the excellent service (which at the risk of sounding whiney is hard to come by in this city these days).

This is a fantastic eating area siting outside with a beautiful bar in a courtyard. I have heard about the signature Singapore cocktail Singapore Sling at Raffles hotel. We'll now this has been ticked off my bucket list. What an experience! The bar tender was a real gem and my Singapore Sling not only was the cocktail but a photo dressed in feather boa and beads and put into the hotels journal and you write a caption next to your photo. You are also given a photo on a postcard with the recipe on the back to take home as your souvenir from Raffles. The drink was $28 but well worth the experience. Don't miss this one!

Absolutely wonderful ambience to dine in. Staff were pleasant and unobtrusive, ever so helpful with our little requests.

Food is amazing and portions are definitely great for sharing! The salmon pate is yummy and the goats cheese oh-so-smooth texture is absolutely divine.

In the main courses, the chicken is definitely the most succulent chicken I've tasted in a while. Beef melted in our mouths and even my non-beef friends were slightly converted after tasting it, helping themselves to seconds!

Could not have asked for a better night as the food, drink, service and the company I had all just gelled nicely together, making it a wonderful and memorable night

I really enjoyed my meal with my friends as well as the hospitality of the manager, Firdaus, when I was at Halia. It is definitely a must-go, especially for the food and the service rendered. The food was definitely filling and it just kept on coming. Great especially like for a party of 4! This place will be seeing more of me in time!
