Having lived in Singapore for a couple of years working for a Singapore Company raffles courtyard was a frequent Saturday afternoon refreshing stop for a lunch/brunch. Sitting under large umbrellas & palms within a courtyard of lush vegetation & water features, you are away from the manic shopping malls and surrounded by a piece of history. The bar itself is a beautiful covered white iron work bar, open sides with bar stalls all around, the arched walkways providing cool shade for those walking around, an oasis of calm & beauty. At weekends there is live gentle music to just while away the afternoon with friends. Drinks and food are served, not cheap but this is an icon!!!. You can walk around and just take in the atmosphere and take a photo, no charge and you are surrounded by this wonderful white walled shuttered colonial palace! Brilliant!!!. Splash the cash & enjoy!!!!.
