We stayed for 3-nights in March 2013 in a Superior Room. A bit misleading as this is the basic room - a bit like a caravan with rather pointless sliding screens. In an effort to be modern the hotel has incredibly complicated lighting switches and we never got the hang of the toilet light switch or how to advise to make up the room : whatever switch we pressed switched off when we left the room. Public areas were outstanding, especially the 5th floor with its infinity pool, gym and gardens. Restaurant was excellent and food was amazing, though at a price - breakfast for instance was £20, buffet was £40 per head and a G&T £10. Best of all were the staff : solicitous, smartly dressed and numerous - couldn't do enough for us.They allowed us use of the pool after checkout as our flight wasn't until 2300. We paid £185 per night and that is probably a decent rate, especially given the newness of the hotel (some taxi drivers had never been there!).
