“Fantastic View up There at a low entry fee”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

To reach there, head to Tanjong Pagar MRT station, exit the station and look up and around and you can spot the building IMMEDIATELY, is essentially a residential complex with 5 skyscrapers topped with a skypark that stands out from the 2 to 3-storey shop-houses around.

To get Up there, Please GET YOU EZ-LINK Card ready as thats the only method to pay

Wt to see up there?
Sorry you cant see the marina bay there as it's blocked by the fantastic view of skyscrapers in Singapore CBD. Walk around the skypark and you could see the city in 360 degrees, from the skyscrapers in its CBD raffles place, to vast area of residential buildings, container terminal and sentosa island towards the South and even Malaysia beyond the border.

Best time to get up there?
guess around 6.30 pm and stay until 7.30 or 8pm to watch the sunset and witness the magical transformation of the view from day to night as the lights are gradually turned on.

Wt to do afterwards?
Tanjong Pagar is home to lots of quality Korean and Western restaurants, China Town is just within walking distance and the alleys there are lined with great pubs and bars for one to chill out with friends!

“Nice Views”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

This is one of the cheaper observation decks in Singapore, if you are a first time visitor or haven't been to the Marina Bay Sands Sky Park I would not recommend coming here, but if you prefer to view the city from a different angle this is definitely a second option.

“Good vantage point”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

The views are mainly of the docks, other skyscrapers (and ones being built) but if you look closely, you can see some interesting building nestled among the skyscrapers.
I believe you have to pay as a visitor, but we were taken up by residents so didn't cost us a penny.
The Singapore flyer is a better way to see the attractions of the city- unless you particularly like tower cranes

“Hidden secret in Singapore”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

I've been living here for 12 weeks now and leave it to a visiting guest to suggest Pinnacle - the building I pass by every day.

The building itself is impressive (if not a bit imposing). What is more impressive is that it is public housing. If you're from the UK, you know this is definitely not a typical 'public housing' building.

Basically, you have access to the 50th floor and that's it. But that's all you need and at $5 SGD for a trip up, it's definitely worth it. Duxton Hill and the Pinnacle is right close to Chinatown and many other tourist attractions so it's definitely no effort to go to. It's a 30-45 minute kind of tourist attraction and you just get great views, 365 degrees of the city. There is no guide, no narration, no frills, you're going to the top of a tall and iconic building and that's it. Whilst the Shard in London will charge you £25, this is a bargain at $5 SGD.

Just be organized....

1) check out the website as only 200 people are allowed up per day. You're not likely to have a problem, not many people know about it and 200 is a lot of people. The website shows you have many people have visited so far in the day. We went on the Saturday of a public holiday and there was only one German family up there.

2) get an EZ LINK card beforehand. EZ Link cards are the prepaid cards that you use on the bus and MRT. No credit card is accepted, it's a simple kiosk that you swipe, it says OK and then you go to the 50th and swipe it again. Get an EZ Link card in all cases to use for public transport in Singapore and this is another good use for it. You cannot use the same EZ Link card twice (ie for more than one person) so each user must have a card. You can top it up from the 7-11 20 metres from the kiosk.

So, you have to be a bit organized but it's worth it. Nothing exciting at the top just great views!

Enjoy!

“Not worth the trouble... at all!”
Reviewed May 18, 2013 via mobile

Any supermarket in Singapore offers around 100 ways to pay your stuff. At Pinnacle there's exactly ONE payment method the machine accepts: EZ Link. Since the 711 next door was running out of cards we had to walk around one km to the next one. When we finally came back the machine told us that only ONE EZ card is accepted per person. This is probably the least customer friendly attraction I have seen in Singapore so far. Save the time & effort and just go to Marina Bay Sands!
