Description: A contemporary ambience - high ceiling, wine bottle-lined pillar and tall wide glass windows - that infuses easy conversations, thought-provoking discussions at corporate events and inspires old fashioned romance in Singapore's downtown financial district. Amarone, a restaurant and wine bar, takes its name from the rich Italian dry red wine made from the partially dried grapes of the Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara varieties, offers customers a full-bodied dining experience like the rich flavours of its namesake. For convenience, we also offer take-aways as well as artisan Italian produce.

Another great meal (my sixth) at Amarone last night. God knows where they get that Mozzarella but it's the best I have ever had, bar none. The squid ink pasta was very good and my wife's seafood ravioli was excellent. Reasonably priced wine (for Singapore), a gentlemen's club style atmosphere (lots of wood and leather chairs) and friendly service always keeps me going back.

Was hopeful when the meal started. Fast and efficient service that knew the menu and specials well. Had a seafood pasta(special of the day) and a caprese salad. Pasta was S$30 which was ok, but they charged me S$25 for the Caprese salad which I asked them to add some rocket lettuce to which was overkill. Good quality ingredients used in the meal. Pasta was fine, but the seafood was overcooked. Will give them a second chance, but was not impressed today.

It is conveniently located at the ground level of Capital Tower which makes it a very good location to have lunch meetings. The restaurant has high ceilings, several types of table designs and those high chairs by the window. Perhaps one of the area they can improve on is space, some of the chairs are very closed to one and other hence do take note when you leave the table as you may accidentally knock another table/chair with yours.

At the moment this is my favorite restaurant that serves Al Dente pasta that appeals very much to my taste. I am a light eater and I think the portion is perfect for me. Do try their chocolate souffle which requires 15 minutes of waiting time as it is bake fresh. Pair it with single malt whiskey and you will be able to taste chocolate at a different level.

I would highly recommend this place for lunch meeting due to the various types of table they have.

There are not many good restaurants in the business district. This is one of them . Big room , high ceilings, very friendly service . Tasty italian dishes and specials of the day by Osvaldo . Good choice of wines . Reasonable prices . To be recommended for lunch.
