This place is lovely. $19 for tea set - a pot of tea plus a piece of cake (choice of scone or muffin too). Nice to sit above the canal and watch the 'boats' go by.

I don't really expert about tea but here you could find almost every 'unique' tea around the worl (I dont know how many type of tea they serve but it really a lot). But you need to be prepared with the bill since a cup tea will cost you like SGD10.

Fun to watch the gondolas go under the bridge you are on, taking one's time over an expensive ($10+) tea, chosen from an extensive menu. I don't think I'd have a meal here, but it was nice to take a break from window shopping here. The tiny scones were a little dense and the cream was whipped rather than clotted.

I just had lunch here this afternoon. TWG tea houses is a chain of restaurants. The style is part french brasserie and part bling, it as if they are trying too hard to be a top end brasserie. It's pleasant and cosy all the same. Waiter staff are dressed impeccably and were more or less attentif.
We had a mix of salads and a terrine of foie gras with tea and juices. Presentation of the plates was nice. The foie gras was mediocre to my French standards, it was lacking a livery taste and firmness. I expect foie gras terrine to break into pieces not be soft almost spreadable. Else the salads were fine, nothing too special.
130$ for 3 salads, 2 juices and a tea is a little steep even with the mediocre foie gras.
Considering this restaurant is in a mall, I'd probably go back as I am unlikely to get the same services, crockery and standards in your typical mall restaurant.

There're actually many TWG tea salons in SG, I particularly like this one the most. Simply like its splendid location at Marina Bay Sands.

It's well-known that more than 100 types of tea which you can choose from its menu (bible)!

I'm not an expert of tea, however, so far one type of tea attracted me twice to taste - flamingo pink tea

As described by its name, it is pink in colour, and smells really good! I highly recommend it :)

Besides, it goes well with a piece of cake, especially the wild berry pie, marvelous!

We had also tried its standard afternoon tea set. It is not a big portion though, enough for afternoon chill ;)

if you shop around this area, it's definitely a nice choice to stop by here, grab a cup of nice tea with a piece of sweet cake. Take a little rest, then carry on shopping till you drop!

Per person spending: around SGD 25 (GST + service charge included)
