It's not often you get the chance to see the animals by night and this was a real treat. Our tip would be to take the train on a tour of the park and then when that's finished, walk all the trails so you can spend as much time as you like observing the animals of interest.
One last tip, don't be tempted to get there at opening time as the queues are significant. Arrive about 45-60 minutes later when things have all cleared.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

I'm not a fan of zoos generally, however the night time experience of seeing nocturnal animals in more spacious green surroundings made this both informative and pleasurable. The park is kept impeccably clean and tidy and there are numerous quality food outlets in cozy atmospheric settings. Staff friendly and enthusiastic ...well worth the visit.

“Great concept, but not great value.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

I was initially quite excited to visit the Night Safari, as I read up on it and loved the concept. While it definitely is unique in the world of zoos, I just feel that the whole thing feels kind of fake and hurried on the tram. Also, the animals, as previously mentioned also seem to be half out of it and quite confined. It is also fairly expensive as far as zoos are concerned and the public transit situation at the end of the night can fairly be called a nightmare!

Overall, I would say it is worth checking out (and the shows in the amphitheatre were entertaining), although just dont get your hopes up for this to be some kind of mindblowing experience

“Great for the Kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

The Night Safari was the highlight of our very brief stay in Singapore for our kids. They loved how close you got to the animals, and the way the animals appeared to roaming free around the park. The elephants and Rhino were amazing, and overall it was a great night. Would recommend it for families, although did take a while to get there.

“A must do and see !!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

This would be my third visit to this place though in the past my family was not with me to enjoy the spectacle. My kids love going to the zoo back home, but this was a totally different experience for them. The fire show was a great was to be welcomed to the zoo as it heighten the excitement of the kids. Then the Tram ride was highlight of the visit! Just noticed that the landscape of the confines of the different animals needed a bit improvement. Other than this, the visit here was perfect!
