“Night Safari”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

Everywhere you go in Singapore you see adverts for the night safari so my expectation was high before I had even taken the bus which collects visitors from the various hotels during the early evening. The journey to the Zoo took about an hour due to rush hour traffic and just before arriving at the zoo a bus employee got on the bus taking the fare for a one way ride and a cheaper entry ticket to the night safari. As soon as you arrive at the zoo you are guided into their commercial area where there are shops and restaurants before you make your way to the mini train that takes you on the safari through the various animal areas. As it is night there is little light and many of the animals sighted are motionless and look as though they have been stuffed and placed in strategic positions so that you can take a photo without a flash. The safari lasts for about 30-45 minutes and you return to the commercial area where you have to wait until the bus calling at your hotel departs. Again you have to buy another ticket to take you back. There were a lot more exciting and interesting things in Singapore which I could have done for a lot less money !

“No surprise this is Singapore's top attraction”

Easy to see why the zoo is rated the best or second best (San Francisco Zoo) in the world. Take swimming shorts for the younger children as there is a fantastic water play area. All our visitor friends come back dazzled by their visit. Wonderful place.

If you are travelling with children, this a definite must-see. We had a fantastic morning at the zoo, even though it was raining.

“One of the best Zoos in the world”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

A must place to take your children. Reach early to see all the animals & shows. Should take tram & their river-cruise facilities, too. It is very clean as compared to Zoos in our country, with variety of animals.

“Zoo-perb”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

Was there in 2008 on a rainy day but it didn't threaten to damper the trip. What I like about the zoo is for the fact they have a little red wagon for the kids to ride in while mummy/ daddy pulls them around and that there's a neat ride for the elderly which is good as the zoo cares for the elderly. Kentucky Fried Chicken was on the menu for lunch and later washed down with a cup of Ben & Jerry's ice-cream. Yes, ice-cream on a cold day! All in all, worth every single dollar spent.
