while arriving there and looking at it you would think should i go there but we as expats living around the corner at Bukit Timah residents come here every evening after work for a beer.

The food is fresh and is great. Try the Mongolian Chicken, spicy chicken with a great taste or the pper and chili crab. One word delicious...

Saterday evening and sundays can be full with locals and expats with family who go out for dinner here.

I will miss the place when i leave Singapore.

It doesn't look like much, with the round tables covered with plastic disposable covers, in a sloping car park next to a busy road and rather reluctant service, but it does serve some excellent Singapore favourite dishes. The Black pepper crab was one of the best I have had for a long time, probably because the crabs were so fresh, they seemed desperate to escape from captivity, repeatedly knocking the lid off their container, before being dispatched. The fishhead curry has a really rich tasty gravy, tastes fab, but is only for those with strong stomachs. Black pepper beef is very good also, and kailang is excellent. Popular with locals and Ang Mo's alike, you can BYO, and they provide glasses, though you can get cold beer from a cheerful lady with very limited English. Tread carefully as you pass through the restaurant to the loo (if you really must go!), the floor is like an greasy ice rink.

This place used to be called fortune restaurant until their change in name led to it being extremely crowded especially with its expatriate neighbours!

Come almost any nite and you will see quite a nber of people.

They are largely famous for their cappuccino ribs and also seafood! Service may not always be excellent ESP when crowded but they consistent deliver good food!

Try it. :-)
