Stunning gardens and well worth the trip up here. I recommend coming early in the day to avoid the heat allowing for a much more relaxed gentle wander about the place. Or better still go for brunch at the pleasant cafe in the environs.

Loved the gardens, one of the best I've been too, excepting Kew!
Pay the extra 5 dollars to go in the orchid garden which has some very beautiful varieties. You can wander around the other gardens free of charge. Especially loved the walk through the evolution garden.
Very easy to while away a few hours and easily accessible by mrt or bus which drops you right outside. It's open 5am till midnight and the early morning was wonderfully quiet with the odd group of locals doing tai chi. Very calming and restorative place.

The journey to the Botanic Gardens is made easy by the fact there is an MRT just outside the gates. Once there, you will find it fairly easy to navigate and there is a lot to see. It is a big place, so its best to pace yourself. There are restaurants and cafes dotted around enabling you to do this, which offer fairly good food at prices slightly on the high side. Beware tourists at some of these eateries that cut queues and steal chairs from your table while you aren't looking though.

Entrance to the gardens is free, so its a great place to revisit. We were particularly impressed with the sheer amount of wildlife we saw here as well.

My unsnap and and I enjoyed an afternoon atoll through the gardens plus a nice cream treat. The map, staff, and facilities are gorgeous.
