I don't know if you can call this a hotel, for me personally it doesn't look like a hotel but more to a boarding house for their students there. Didn't really know that the hotel would look like that,it doesn't have a proper restaurant like most hotel does what they have its a small canteen like cafe for students. The room is spacious but that's all about it,no minibar only water in a jar to make coffee for breakfast, minimum toilets amenities and no safety deposits box !! Bear in mind no breakfast either !!

For the same range of rate per night you could really stay in a nicer beautique hotel, mind the location that it said pretty near to the famous Orchard road, Singapore in general is not that big and wherever area you stay it reachable with MRT or affordable taxi meter.

The staffs were okay considering they don't seems like a busy hotel.

Room Tip: nothing to say i think they will all look the same ... old motel i could say

The rooms we booked are spacious, clean and housekeeping is maintained. With complimentary wifi and drinking water. I found the housekeeper as honest, and other staff are also helpful. The location is at least 10-15 minutes walk to the bus stop, however, taxis are advisable if you are in a group of 4.

Room Tip: high floors are quiet..

Real estate is expensive in Singapore so most hotels have steep prices for broom closet sized rooms. This hotel however has quite good sized hallways, rooms and bathrooms. Bigger than most.
But, that is where the feeling of luxury ends.
The hotel also serves as a language center which might be the reason why the cafe and restaurant areas are dark (to save electricity perhaps?) and very very basic. The hallways smell clean but the chemical smell is rather "in your face".
For food a small shop next to the lobby area sells fruit juices, some sandwiches and some local foods, for anything more you really need to go out.
Out is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the famous Orchard street with it's many Starbucks and other western brandstores.
That is also where all the public transport is.
With the temprature being what it is in Singapore, that means taxis are needed and that can be a problem. The hotel is not on a busy street and the only service the hotels offers to help you is that a sign and a revolving light by the roadside are lit so that passing taxis know there are people waiting. There appears to be a shortage of cabs because several times we had to wait for more than 20 minutes. And when it rains, everyone wants a taxi. Unlike other hotels in the city, whos names you see on umbrellas all around you, this hotel does not have umbrellas for its guests to borrow which I found strange during the rainy season.

The rooms are big and kept in a good and clean condition. The staff is friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is Asian style and disappointing compared to room quality. You will spend some more dollars on taxis, as Hotel is located quite a walk from any facilities away and public transport does not get there.

Spacious!

Close to orchard rd. bus still have to take taxi, or you can walk I guess.

Amenities are the bare minimum, but hey if you're going to go shopping all day, all we need is a comfy clean bed, clean shower, hot water, and blockout blinds so we can sleep in until 9.

Highly recommend this hotel! great bargain near Orchard rd.

Having moved here from another hotel, we were delighted to find large rooms with comfortable beds. We had three good size beds and a large bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and well appointed. All the staff here want your stay to be a good one. They recommended trips, places to eat and shop. They arranged pick ups from the hotel.
The breakfasts are the only downside, although Orchard Road with its many cafes and eateries is only a 10 minute walk away.
Would definitely stay here again and again and again!

Room Tip: Ask Eric. All rooms have balconies but those on floors 10 and above are smaller.
