This hotel has a very unfriendly staff especially that girl trainee at the front desk who was wearing a glasses, were asking her if they provide a van service to the port and she immediately and confidently said NO where in fact they have a printed piece of paper in their rooms about transportation. The staff never smile. There was also a cockroaches in the room. The water in the shower goes out so the shower door was pretty much useless.

Good location and price
This hotel is in a very good location close to Bugis markets and 30 minute walk to China town plus 30 minutes to the Marina Bay where most tours start from. MRT is also close by so you have access to almost all of Singapore from here. Food is everywhere close by in almost all directions. Staff are friendly and very helpful the only problem I had was from some guests who were totally inconsiderate of everyone else running up and down the halls yelling and screaming at all hours, slamming doors and banging on them also, but this can happen at many hotels. The price is cheap for Singapore and well worth the stay in a comfortable room.

My trip in singapore
This is my first trip to Singapore, this is a great country and I was visited a nice hotel. The breakfast is simple and I enjoy it. But I wasn't satisfied with the lift, it is to small and usually crowded. The room is minimalist and comfortable. Overall I enjoy Oxford hotel

Good for the price
Considering the price you pay we had a relatively good experience at the hotel! The location is great and within easy distance of the MRT, shopping areas and sightseeing locations! Rooms are cleaned regularly and towels changed on a daily basis. The toilet had a little bit of mildew on the hairdryer though and the light was a bit dim! Some of the reception staff were a bit grumpy and rude though although on the flip side others were accommodating and took time to explain.

Oxford hotel is agood city hotel with hospitality and good service...
The housrkeping working good and clean...
Be carefull with elevator because its go up and down not smooth...
Water heater is good, television is Ok...
Telephone hotel is noissing...

Excellent location but.......!!!!
We spent 6 night at this hotel. We booked our accommodation because of the moderate prices and the location. Although the hotel is located in Brash Basah, close to MRT station and Bugis junction, the quality and service is deeply under Singapore standards. If Singapore is said to be one of the cleanest countries, this hotel should not be in Singapore... The restaurant was quite dirty after big groups, food was always the same, quite boring after the 3rd day, rooms quite smelly and the floor was coverd with dark spots... The windows cannot be opened to get some fresh air, and it was quite claustrophobic during a fire-alarm in one of the mornings when all safety doors closed automatically. Room-telephone was out of order, we had to use our mobile to find out what was going on...The brilliant location compensated the negative experiences... Next time we are going to stay somewhere else...The hotel needs upgrading urgently although it looks great from outside.
