This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel and I look forward to returning. We stayed in two connecting deluxe rooms (two teenage boys in one, husband and I in the other) and we also had friends in two other deluxe rooms. The rooms were well appointed and clean, the beds were very firm but we found them comfortable. We enjoyed the pool facilities and also had a drink in Chances bar (happy hour). We were there for birthday celebrations (three birthdays over the week), my friend received a fruit platter when the lady who cleaned his room noticed the birthday cards, I received a beautiful cake and card and even my son's birthday on the day we checked out was acknowledged. The area is colourful and interesting and we absolutely love it. There is a western style shopping mall across the road and the always amazing Mustafas to the rear of the hotel. The MRT station is accessed from the shopping mall and is very convenient. We love Singapore and have been lucky enough to travel there often - we will certainly stay at the Parkroyal on Kitchener again.

Please dont stay here! The rooms are disgusting the service awful and the area woeful. After one night we moved to Orchard Road for the same dollars and it was a 100 times better for everything. !!!!

We stay here on the way to Thailand with two kids. This hotel is well located next to a major shopping mall. Hotel was clean and good size rooms. Hotel breakfast was standard but ok and hotel staff were helpful when we ask questions.

Nice hotel ,good location, very Good rooms roomy size and clean . Don't get a room on south side of hotel construction going on will be for long time .north side can't hear the noise. Room service very expensive and drinks way over the top $100 for a 10 dollar bottle of Australian wine ..watch all the little taxes shown by ++ as they really add up to about 22% on top of price as is most of Singapore ..pleasant staff
recommended but don't bother with room service at all its usually expensive but way too much at this hotel.Free ice delivered to room no freezer in fridge.

Stayed here for three days, our first time in Singapore. Check in was quick and efficient and after a long flight via KL from Australia was much appreciated! We had a two room suite with twin beds for the girls and a king for my husband and I. The ensuite bathroom from the master bedroom was the only bathroom and it was very small, with two teenagers this was interesting. The shower is over the bath and has a vinyl shower curtain which sticks to you when showering, making the shower space even more narrow. Bath robes are complimentary but we had none in the room, despite asking three times for robes we still ended up with only three for four people. We didn't ask for the fourth.
Rooms were clean and light and airy, however look tired and could use a refurb. There was no lounge in the room which made it a little difficult for the four of us to sit comfortably and relax. There were two chairs and a table in the main room which had the twin beds, however these weren't great for relaxing in.
We all enjoyed the beds, nice and firm but comfortable. Both rooms had tv with remote, although these were a little on the old side.
On arrival, the mini bar fridge didn't work however this was dealt with promptly by maintenance.
The breakfast was included each morning. It was tasty, had a good variety to choose from, no problems with finding a seat and certainly filled the spot in preparation for each day.
The pool was great, the kids enjoyed it, was a great spot to relax after being out and about.
We were on the 8th floor, on the front overlooking the City Mall. It wasn't especially noisy from the road or nearby businesses, however the inside walls aren't quite so noise proof. We could hear the neighbors through the interconnecting doors.
We found the City Mall, over the road, to be handy for supplies, money changer and access to the Farrer Park MRT. We used the MRT to get around Singapore, even access to Sentosa Island. Whilst the locals weren't easy to engage, we didn't have any troubles getting around and if we lost our way, asking someone usually resulted in directions to where we wanted to go.
We spent some time in the nearby Mustapha Centre, the huge 24 hour shopping centre around the corner from the hotel. It really is an eye opener, I'm sure they have pretty much everything but don't expect any customer service and nor are they the cheapest; if you're looking for bits and pieces to take home for the rellies, wait till you get to Chinatown for a real bargain.
Overall, we found the Park Royal on Kitchener to be a nice central spot, great to come back to for a sleep and as the base for our Singapore activities, however if you're looking for something flashy and resort like you won't find it here.

Room Tip: Ask for non-smoking floor and a room which doesn't have an interconnecting door.
