The hotel is simple but with general facilities you will need for a short stay . It is very noisy because it has a bar at first floor some people speak loud until 3 am or 4 am . The room is small but clean . The breakfast tasty but limited in choice. The hotel is near the mrt station of china town almost 5 min walk . For a short stay and budget hotel you can choose it .

Loft 1929 is modern, clean, well designed, air-conditioned and comfortable. Our room wasn't big but it was well designed with a comfortable bed, tea/coffee making, wifi. The shower and toilet are open together in one small space but it was fine and we showered a few times a day to cope with the Singapore humidity. If you need a lot of space or have a lot of luggage, this probably isn't for you. It was perfect for the two of us - we saved money on accommodation to be able to spend more on other things, including a day on sunbeds at the Tanjung beach resort. Located in Chinatown with plenty of excellent eateries and hawker centres nearby, it's a short walk from the MRT and money changers. Breakfast was included in the our rate and it was an excellent a la carte affair offering both Asian and Western options with coffee. A modern outdoor terrace with tables/chairs, BBQ, fridge and sink area is available for use by guests. The staff - including Put and TK at the front desk and Ming in the restaurant - couldn't be more friendly and helpful. At night the restaurant opens to the street and becomes a bar with live acoustic music. Nice vibe and can't be heard from the rooms.

This hotel looks very good from the outside being a restored building rather than a new build and therefore unusual for Singapore. The hotel was fine for what it is. The room was small but had a nice shower and was comfortable enough. The included breakfast was adequate and service was good. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming and overall the hotel was value for money and I would recommend it if you are on a tight budget

Room tip: make sure you turn the water heater on otherwise you will get a cold shower

When the cab pulled in at the hotel I thought he took us to the wrong hotel as it was called "loft 1929" and it didn't look at all like the photos online. However, we were at the right place and the photos were just very misleading.

We're a family of 3 and the rooms are TINY! Theres a huge bathtub in the middle of the room, a sink literally an arms reach from the bed and no space at all for luggage... such a tight squeeze! We were okay as we were out literally all day and only stayed here for 3 nights, but I honestly couldn't stay here for any longer than this, it was so claustrophobic! Not a place for families- more for solo travellers/backpackers. Also rooms weren't amazing standards, our ceiling had some dark marks which i think were mould!

Staff were pleasant however, and breakfast was really good/filling for a good day out!

Good location as near 2 stations! Overall, I didn't love this hotel but I didn't hate it, and staff were nice!

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff there was very nice. The room was comfortable and clean. It was nice to have a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The location was very convenient with two MRT stations nearby.
