Good location is probably its only plus point. Old, dated decor needs urgent renovation. Embarrassed by newer and better hotels nearby, the food and service also needs upgrading.
Hopefully it will improve, otherwise there are much better priced options around.

Stayed for 1 night on nov 3rd. Arrived by cab very early in the morning. Front desk would not let us check-in, unless we pay an extra day stay. I declined. We ended up exploring the city at 5 am, returned to the hotel at 8 and was told by the porter that our luggages had been sent up to the room. What a great surprise. We were escorted to the room by a hotel employee. We stayed in classic king room. Worked wonderfully for us. Comfortable room, toilettries are plenty and of good quality, a bear and duck are a plus :). Everyone was so friendly at the hotel. It was our first time staying at The Conrad, and will undoubtly return. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

We where here for a one night stay pre sailing out of Singapore. It was luxury all the way. They also have smoking rooms just ask when you arrive if not pre booked. Everything about this hotel was fab. Don't forget to take the bear and duck you will find in your room. The staff we very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: The higher the better.

My husband suggested that we stayed in Conrad Hotel on 26 to 28 Oct 2012. I was quite sceptical as I have not heard much of this hotel. Boy, am I glad that I followed his suggestion! The service from the front desk, housekeeping, service staff and others were excellent. They were helpful, always with a smile, friendly and we felt so welcome and comfortable.

We had a corner room which was big. The bed is very high but comfortable. The bathtub is huge compared to many other hotels I've been to. The fruit platter which was replenish everyday was a wonderful idea as my family loved it. The only odd thing is the position of the TV. We are used to watching shows on TV lying on the bed. The armchair is only for 1 person so the others have to watch with a awkward position. There is a wide DVD selection which we borrow and watch. They are available on the first floor at the pastry shop.

The breakfast selection is very normal. Food runs out at 9plus and they do not replenish some of the items. So go early if you don't want to miss out anything. They are shorthanded on the 2 days I was there. Service is a little slow there.

The swimming pool is not suitable for small kids as it's one height throughout (I think it's 1.3m) Once you take your seat, the service staff will come with iced water and pool towels. Quick and efficient service.

My family left the hotel happily and my kids are already planning on the next trip back!

The location is excellent if visiting Suntec Convention Centre, but is also pretty good for the Marina Bay or Clarke Quay [great for evening wining & dining]. The rooms are very tatefully furnished and large. The beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Service standards are of a very high quality and the staff well skilled in the art of hospitality. There are many excellent hotels in Singapore and location plays a vital part in deciding where to stay but when I visit Suntec, the Conrad would be my first choice and I've stayed in quite a few in this area, including the Mandarin, The Ritz Carlton and the Pan Pacific.
