fFirst of all this is a 3 star type hotel.Very basic. No hair dryer in room.Old fashioned box type small TV.empty minibar in room.No wifi in room.No information on where the complimentary water bottles are kept.No info on how to operate lift for a first time visitor to the hotel. Atleast as a courtsey, for any visitor, there should be a person deputed to explain the facilities being provided and how to use them. This hotel lacks the basic ettiquettes. The housekeeping just barge in without knocking at the door or ringing the bell. They seem to be in a hurry to clean the room-I don't know why.Buffet breakfast is ok for a three star but not four star.Overall if you have to book a hotel for its location and have to come to the hotel to just sleep at night and you a lone traveller, then i would recommend it otherwise no as it is all surrounded by tall buildings with no view at all.One can hear hear noises from adjoining rooms and people walking in the corridor. The washrooms are stained and the sink is not that clean. The Flush gives problems on and off.At the time of check in,they asked me a security deposit of 50 dollars per day and i had to shell out 200 dollar for 4 days of which i had no prior information as it was not provided at the time of booking.I fail to understand these hidden policies.

Room Tip: take a room on one of the top floors as the hotel is surrounded by tall buildings

Our party of 7 stayed at this hotel in June, it is in a very good spot, only one block from Raffles about 7 minutes from Clarks Quay and 15 minutes from the marina that's walking. The rooms are ok clean beds comfy and well decorated, the staff were very helpful and the price is right. Breakfast had everything you need. All in all I thing this was a good hotel if you are just spending a couple of nights in Singapore.

We stayed at the Grand Pacific hotel in Singapore 4 nights early in the first week of July.
The location of the hotel is excellent! 2 metro stations are within easy walking distance. The bus stops in front of the hotel, so a very convenient starting point for lany sightseeing.
The rooms are dated and have a very old fashioned look. There is no Wifi in the rooms so you cannot use the internet on your tablet or smartphone unless you go to the lobby. But unfortunately the lobby has a very limited number of seats to accomodate for those who like to browse the internet.
Breakfast is average for Europeans.

The staff is very friendly and helpfull and they are the hotels best asset!

We stayed here for one night on a stopover. The rooms here are very old and tired. Very clean but for the price we paid $160 SGD not including breakfast I would expect the room to be a bit more modern. As is the case in most cheaper hotels in Singapore, the room reeked of stale cigarette smoke that had penetrated the carpets. Great location though. Better than the hotel 81 chain, although that is not saying much at all. Also, wifi only in lobby. Couldn't believe that. Not sure if I'd stay here again

We have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel twice now and recommend it to any or all Singapore visitors. Anyone travelling abroad with a stopover in Singapore should take advantage of the great deals offered by Singapore airlines and stay here. It's wonderful, it's clean, comfortable, the staff are great and the location is terrific, i love it. A couple of doors down is a massage spa, called institut esthederm, at the Victoria hotel. Mavis and crystal give the best massage in the world. They are incredible. They are very sweet, very humble and the best at what they do. Singapore has become, for me, a destination to return to as often as i can. Brilliant.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade if available, although they are all good
