It was a business trip, but with my family. Our Company booked the Executive Room for us on the 17th Floor. The rooms are excellent - spot clean. Room decor, amenities, lighting, service was state of art. Inside the hotel we had shopping complex, amusement theatres, water bodies, coffee shops, travel advisory shops and other such recreational items. It was Christmas time and entire city of Singappre was decorated. The stay at this hotel is 100% safe.

For the execute rooms, the Hotel offers complimentary Breakfast as well as evening snacks including drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening snacks.

The Hotel provide for India Cuisine at the 8th Floor. Swimming pool, massage centers, health spa, gym, business centers are available. The staffs are very very customer friendly. All of them wear a lovely smile on their face when they talk to customers.

The Location of the Hotel is not in the posh areas of the city. However, Singapore being a small country it does not really matter even if you stay few KMs (6 KM) away from the city.

The charges of the Hotel are on higher side. But it is certainly cheaper when compared to the other Hotels of Singapore located around Orchard Road. Note that you have to pay GST (goods and service tax) above the room rent. So, in India Rupees, it will come to almost Rs 10000 per night stay (net amount including GST) at Golden Landmark

Suggestion: If you are going during Christmas or Chinese New Year, then you will have even more enjoyment in Singapore.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, all the main market and malls are quite nearby. Ambience of the hotel is good. The only thing I was bit unhappy about is quality of service from the staff, that was below par from my expectation level. They need buck up on that respect, otherwise the hotel is good on all counts be it be food, ambience, location...Thanks

My stay in Golden Landmark was one of the most memorables. That was my first visit to Singapore and i had a great time enjoying the hospitality at Golden Landmark...Situated in the midst of the business area close to the Raffles hospital and at proximity to Little India, its one of the star rated hotels in Singapore.

We arrived at the Golden Landmark in Singapore on the 8th March at around 8pm. We were pleased to find that it was a very short walk from Bugis MRT (literally 2 minutes). The MRT is probably the best way to get around Singapore. We found it easy to use, quick and most importantly very cheap!

The check in at the hotel was quite fast and the staff were very friendly. We had booked an Executive room as you get free drinks with this package, breakfast, a bigger room (as we had heard rooms were small in Singapore) and access to the Executive lounge. They stop serving drinks in the lounge around 9pm and on the first night we popped over at about 8.50pm and the lady at the bar was so friendly that she gave us 3 drinks each to keep us going! The hotel room in itself was really nice. It wasnt small at all (but maybe thats because we had an executive room). It had everything that we needed, they even provided Molten Brown toiletries in the bathroom and a hairdryer. A paper was delivered every morning and sometimes had a little piece of paper telling you what the weather was going to be like. If you had booked an executive room you get breakfast included in the price and you can choose whether you eat your breakfast in the executive lounge or the restaurant at the hotel. We chose the restaurant as we enjoyed it so much the first morning. There was a lot of choice - cereal, cakes, pastries, toast, rolls, cooked breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms), fruit and even an omelette station where you chose what you wanted in your omelette and it was cooked there and then.

The hotel was very clean, we were impressed with how clean Singapore is as a whole. The staff couldnt do enough for us and were always asking if we needed help with anything. We had to check out of the hotel by midday and our flight wasnt until 10pm that evening so we were a bit worried about our luggage but the hotel took it for us and put it in their luggage room for no extra charge.

The location of the hotel is good as its right near the MRT. There is a market down the road from the hotel and also some eateries. You also have the usual McDonalds round the corner and a Burger King! Raffles Hotel isnt far and there are some museums and galleries to visit nearby. If we ever wanted to go anywhere though we used the MRT, i couldnt recommend it enough. If you buy a travel card for 30$ (about £15) you get $10 worth of travel and the card is worth $5 which you can get back when you are finished with it. The $10 of travel lasted us 2 full days and we went everywhere!

Stayed here for three nights end of March. Fantastic location. Room clean and spacious (14th floor) if lacking in storage. View from room tremendous. Pool and area around it clean and pretty with good sun loungers. Breakfast substantial with all tastes catered for. Friendly staff, though the reception could be better organised.

Good beds with great pillows and mattresses - air con efficient and not too noisy.

Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for it's location - on the edge of the arab quarter which you must explore - so interesting with it's shops and restaurants.

the hotel insisted rather inpolite to charge roughly 15 % more than my internet contract stated as final all included price and wanted to base it on a hillöarious €-SGD exchange rate. Making their own rules at checkout is no way to attract me as customer again.
Btw, cleanliness of especially the bathroom needs a lot of improvement.

As Aussies, we often have a one or two day stopover in Singapore to break up the long journies to/from the northern hemisphere. The previous couple of years we'd stayed at one of the budget chain hotels (Fragrance or Hotel 81). While they serve a purpose, we found them noisy and with absolutely tiny rooms. When you've got a couple of suitaces, it becomes a real problem. We therefore decided to spend a bit more money this year and I found the Golden Landmark at S$115 without breakfast - ideal as we wanted to go to a nearby Indian cafe.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel at the price in what has become a very expensive city. It's a real hotel not an upmarket hostel like the Hotel 81s. The room was large and comfortable with an excellent view. Check in was a bit slow with only one person who was dealing with a very complex check out. However, when I asked if there was anyone else available, she went and got someone else so it didn't take long.

My only other complaint was the cost of internet - it should be free in big cities. Cheap places can do it why do 3 star + hotels insist on charging ridiculous prices for internet access.

As mentioned by others, the location is excellent. We caught the MRT from the airport and it was an easy walk to the hotel (just one group of 6 stairs).
