This hotel has the best location.. very close to Bugis Mrt and bugis street you can reach by 5 minutes walk, and there's a 7/11 in front of the hotel and near arab st so you can find the briyani's restaurant easily..the room was old but cozy with king size bed..and the breakfast so simple with the best service from kumar (the waiter)

We found ourselves with a 17 hour layover in Singapore and wanted to see a bit of the city. Selected the Landmark Village for location (Bugis) as well as price. The hotel is about a 30 minute ride on the MRT and a 4 minute walk from the Bugis station. Plenty to do from there, restaurants, shops, etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable and comparable in size to other SE Asia hotels. Friendly welcome at reception and an upgrade to a newly remodeled room. Room amenities included bottled water, disposable toothbrush and tooth paste, electric kettle with coffee/tea, in room safe and free wifi. Beds were comfortable and allowed us a restful night before continuing on our 18 hour journey the next day. Downsides were the musty smelling hallways and the half wall in the shower that left our bathroom drenched. If you find yourself needing a place for a lengthy layover in Singapore the Landmark Village Hotel is convenient and affords a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the renovated rooms-you won't be disappointed

After a 12 hour flight with Singapore Airlines this was a stop over for 3 nights enroute to Bali and Lombok. Exhausted from the flight we need a good rest. Took us no time at all to get through Changi and outside where we were to meet our transport to the hotel. A small minibus was waiting right outside the terminal with a happy smiling driver who greeted us by name and helped with our luggage. After a short journey to the Hotel our bags were taken into the lobby where we found all the staff to be efficient and helpful. Ae were given our room keys and made our way up to the umpteenth floor. The room was extensive and well furnished with a wonderful view out over the city. We promptly hit the sheets to catch up on sleep after our flight. We only intended to have an hour but 6 hours later we woke up thinking that we had missed our opportunity to hit the town to check out the restaurants. Having showered and changed we left the Hotel and hit the town. We loked at a few restaurants but eventually settled for one of the Hawker markets in an underground car park beneath a block of flats. First impressions were not good BUT the food from different stalls was amazing cooked in front of us while we waited and a choice from any of the stalls so if you fancied rice from one and chow mein from another thats fine just remember your table number. We found the local people to be friendly and chatty and were befriended by a local couple who owned Singapore Air Conditioning who took us on a tour of the city and to their business premises to show us their collection of vintage cars and oh boy what a collection. We returned to the Hotel in the early hours and were again met by efficient and helpful staff. The next night we tried the Hotel Restaurant but although the food was good it wasn't a patch on the Hawker Market. In summary this Hotel is like most things in Singapore, efficient, clean, comfortable and value for money. If we ever pass this way again we will most definately stay here.

It was unplanned visit to Singapore city for accompanying my wife due to her work commitment.

We reached at the hotel around 10.30 am and managed to enter the double bed room early at 11 am subject to availability.

Standard room facilities are available as follows:
1) Hairdryer
2) Bathtub
3) Hotwater (with tea/coffee)
4) Flat TV Screen
5) Wifi (S$6.00 per 30 minutes , S$10 for 1 hour and so on)
6) Iron with board
7) minibar

For Muslim, the area in-front of the hotel is considered halal food heaven. You must go to Hajan Maimunah Restaurant during breakfast or lunch as varieties of local food are served at fair prices. If you like a Murtabak Singapore, Zam Zam Restaurant just around the corner which established since 1908. Tomyam restaurant also available here.

For those who are fancy about local food, go to Geylang market where there is a foodcourt that served mee rebus, kacang pool, satay, otak-otak singapore, chicken rice, baryani rice (chicken, meat, mutton).

I will come back as my visit is very short from 6 - 7 October 2012 only.

Room Tip: Choose the room that facing the pool as you can see also singapore flyer and high buildings of finan...

Hi Encik Hairul,

Apa khabar? Thank you for your review. Even in your short stay, you had the chance to really enjoy our delicious nasi padang and murtabak makan places. We hope you will stay with us for a longer time and really soak in the Kampung Glam, Haji Lane and Arab Street ambience. Apart from food, we have a variety of textiles, perfumeries and handicraft items. Did you try the teh tarik at Bussorah Street?

Also, within 10min walk there is the Bugis Junction and Bugis Street shopping areas. Definitely, plenty for you and your family to do around here.

Check out our StayFarEast website for pictures of our newly renovated rooms. Perhaps you’d like to give that a go in your next visit to LVH.

Have been organizing seminars at many locations for my company over the years and never have I come across a hotel whose banquet staff are so polite, obliging and overall the best to work with! Normally Razin helps to oversee the whole setup and ensures frequently throughout the seminar that everything is working well. Even when a client left his laptop bag behind once, Razin instantly offered to search for and then deliver it to me at the carpark even though he had his hands full with multiple big functions going on.
Execellent Banquet staff, excellent function rooms at reasonable rates in an excellent location. Kudos to them!
