Hotel is convienient for the shopping area nearby and the market. Rooms were fine, and we had Wi- fi which was great.
We loved the pool area, and used it daily.
only problem was the crush at breakfast.....madness , not enough tables and people having to queue outside the resteraunt.

apart from that, a nice stay.
Tip for visitors- visit the Mosque a few streets away, its lovely inside and they make visitors welcome.

Hi Civiladele,

Thanks for your feedback. It is nice to know you enjoyed our pool on the 5th floor. It's a great place to swim and soak in some sun. Our location close to a variety of food outlets, shopping and the train, is simply convenient for our customers.

We will work with our breakfast operator Mooi Chin on your observations.

Do come back to LVH in your next visit to Singapore.

Yours sincerely,

Pros:

1. Location, location, location. The hotel is on Arab Street and quite close to the mosque and some muslim eateries. It is a 15 minute walk from Little India and 5 minutes from the Boogies MRT and 10 minutes from SMU. A cab ride from here to the Marina Bay should set you back by SGD6. The 7-11 nearby is quite useful.

2. The rooms are okay, but the furniture is dated.

3. Nice views.

-s:

1. The quality of the fittings seemed dated. The loo was bad and the shower did not hold properly.

2. There is a renovation work going on in the 9th floor and it can get quite noisy during the day. However, since we had sightseeing planned in the day, it didn't affect us much.

3. The internet is EXPENSIVE! :( There is no free wifi in the lobby.

4. The breakfast was atrocious. It was a very small place and the breakfast was not upto the standard we were used to in other hotels.

5. Many taxi drivers don't seem to know about this hotel. Was this called something else earlier? If you are taking a taxi, ask them to take you to the junction of Arab Street and Victoria street, instead of using the hotel's name.

6. The TV had just 6 channels and the quality was poor - It was heavily pixelated.

Dear Vikram,

Thank you for your comments. Indeed LVH is situated in a good location close to many eateries, shopping and close to Bugis MRT. You had noticed that the hotel is undergoing refurbishments to upgrade our rooms. The newly renovated rooms are popular, you can check out the pictures on our website. The dated furniture are replaced during the renovation.

Our TV channels and cabling will be upgraded over the next months. As for internet or wifi, take a look at our Stayfareast website for offers which include free wifi.

We look forward to having you with us in the near future, perhaps in one of our newly renovated rooms.

Yours sincerely,

Landmark Village Hotel is in arab street next to Bugis MRT. Its close to little india (around 20 min walking) which is good place to eat if you are craving to have indian food.
The hotel rooms are decent size, but furniture and toilets are dated. It is clean.
The food in the hotel is strictly OK, with the breakfast being more or less same everyday.
The pool was clean.
Staff was polite to us.
Since the location of the hotel is great there is nothing much to complain about.
Bugis market is ideal for singapore street shopping.. which is a must see for shop’o’holics.
Currency exchange store is in the hotels shopping area itself.

When the company I worked for booked this hotel (for a deluxe room) for my Singapore trip, I looked it up in Tripadvisor and was apalled by the review scores it has been getting. Expecting the worst, I checked in and was pleasantly given their all new Premier Room. The room is immaculately decorated and I fell in love with it immediately. The wooden flooring looks great and the size if the bed is just enormous. 3 big adults can sleep on it comfortably. Shower room might be a bit small for a European-sized person but has a powerful shower. Flooring in the bath is a wood-pattern non-slippery stone. Overall room size is 32 sqf and is equipped with a 40" lcd tv (or was it 32"?). Lots of channels. The reclining sofa in the room was a sight to behold after a long day at work. All in all, whoever designed the room has put a lot thinking at the design stage. I can see the Eye of Singapore from my big room window. Location wise, I, as a muslim could not have asked for more. A great mosque with a magnificent interior is just a 5 mins walk away. Lots of international cuisines are being offered by the restaurants nearby at a non-international prices. Bugis MRT is just a 5 mins walk (you can almost cover the whole of Singapore with their efficient MRT system). Breakfast is offered at two places. I chose Riverwalk Tandoor. Spreads were great but staff could do with a little bit of smiling (maybe its too early in the morning). My only regret is I didn't the chance to stay longer. I rarely gives a good review for hotels but this one deserved it very much. Checked in on 12 August in room 1119.

Dear Mr Farouk,

I am glad you had a great stay and we had surpassed your expectations. Indeed our newly renovated rooms are well received by our guests. We did spend some time with our designers on the decor and amenities of the Premier room. I'm happy you found the room to your liking. The reclining sofa is one of our favourite pieces, comfortable after a day's work to chill out watching TV or to do some reading. The TV is a 40-inch TV and we are in the midst of increasing our variety of TV channels.

We'd have a chat with Riverwalk Tandoor to remind their staff to perk up in the mornings. Thanks for your feedback.

We look forward to welcoming you to LVH in the near future. Check out our new Stayfareast website for interesting offers.

We spent three night at the Landmark Village hotel. Reception and other staff were very forthcoming and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel has started a renovation project so I expect it will only get better in the near future.

During our stay we left our car in the hotel car park, only to find it back with an empty battery when we wanted to start our ride back home in Kuala Lumpur, because we did not shut down all the lamps. Mr Andrew Tan from the hotel management went to great lengths to help us repair the car and even went out with me to get and arrange a new battery. After one and a half hour we could start our trip and arrived home safely. I herewith would like to thank Mr. Tan for his help and hospitality. We will certainly return to the Village Landmark.

Dear Janna,

Thank you for your comments. It is nice to hear you and your 2 daughters enjoyed your stay at LVH. Yes, I recall Andrew telling me about your car which could not start, and he was trying to borrow jump-start cables. I am glad he managed to help get your car running again.

The room refurbishment is underway and we now have 2 floors of new rooms already completed. The new look is quite a refreshing change, do take a look at pictures on our StayVillage website.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family in the near future.

Stayed in a standard room for 4 days and 3 nights. First time and found it convenient because it was ramadan and i need to find a hotel close to a mosque. Two, attending seminar in a hospital which provide shuttle bas service. Also convenient due to it closer to bugis mrt thus save my taxi charges to and from changi airport. Hotel was close to kampong slam for halal food. However, the hotel was fit for single or couple. Bathroom too congested. Breakfast not sure cos it is ramadan. Price ok, for what it provided. Will return, if came along or with spouse, with kids...not close to shopping areas.

Hi Dr Hanifah,

Apa khabar? Thank you for your comments. We are glad you found LVH convenient for you. Our proximity to a wide selection of halal food is an advantage to tourists – Muslims and non-Muslims alike. To take care of our Muslim guests, the hotel serves sahur at Riverwalk Tandoor during Ramadan.

The hotel is about 5min walk to Bugis MRT which connects you to the train network – very convenient indeed. When you visit with your family, for shopping, take a walk to the Kampung Glam and Haji Lane area or the Bugis Junction and Bugis Street area. There is probably plenty for your family to shop, eat and enjoy. On Arab Street, there are many boutiques selling quality textile and perfumes. Do check out our StayVillage website for future promotions.

We’d like to wish you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri in advance.

I just returned back to Mongolia traveling through Singapore. I again stayed at the Landmark Hotel, as per usual. There are so many good reason's to stay at the Landmark, staring with excellent service, and friendly staff. I especially like staying on the 18th floor, (near Exective Lounge), it has all the plus's you will need (bar, food, friendly travelers, quick check out, information, internet computer available, and most of all extra friendly staff). The location is second to no hotel in Singapore; I am talking about very short walking distance from LM (minutes), and near excellent variety of shopping centers, hospital (what if), food courts, super Mexican restaurant, Arab St., extra quick taxi's available, which are 5 minutes from Orchard Rd., if your heading that way. The bottom line, this hotel is so convenant to everything you could possible want, and you can see all the Santosa gambling hotels from your room view also. I didn't eat at the hotel restauants, because so much great variety within a 5 minute walk, even a McDonald's for the kids or me once. If you go there you must meet the front desk manager Andrew Tan, this guy will make you feel like this is your home away from home, guaranteed. The price is fair for the market, but the location can't be beat, and that's a fact. Have a safe & happy vacation, where ever you go.

Room Tip: Stay on the 18th floor, near Executive Lounge, you will be happy:)

Hi Doug,

Thank you for your encouraging comments. We are glad that you had another great stay with us, and our friendly staff were like icing on top of the cake. I had conveyed your appreciation to Andrew and our warm Executive Lounge staff.

I’m happy you had the time to take in the sights, sounds and great food/drinks at the nearby Haji Lane, where the Mexican restaurant is situated. Haji Lane has a selection of avant-garde outlets ranging from fashion, design, handicraft, bicycles and cafes. Let us know when you come by next, perhaps we can interest you in the heritage area of Kampung Glam as well.

We look forward to welcoming back to LVH soon.
