“Great stay during the 2013 F1!”

We stayed here for 4 nights for the F1 Grand Prix. I chose the hotel mainly based on price & it's walking distance to the event (20mins). We were pleasantly surprised about the size of the room, cleanliness & modern decor. Food was average & expensive (as most hotel food is) this was the only negative. It is only 250m from the MRT station Tangong Pagar, which connects you to everything in Singapore! Our recommendation is get to know the MRT. This is a great place to stay :)

Hotel was average, nothing special or great. Location is great as it is in located the financial district, so I could walk to my office (one of the reasons this hotel was selected). WiFi was not that fast (was included in my rate), you need to re-log a lot of times if you are not active for a while (it does not allow you to re-use the connection remembering it. Food in the 2000 restaurant was nothing special, it is better to take a cab (not expensive) and to go to one of the restaurants city has with much better food. Rooms are ok, get cleaned every do. Hotel is good,if you are on a business trip for couple of days. Taxi to the airport cost SGD 25,00 and takes you there in about 30 min. Staff was very nice and helpful !

Very busy hotel, but staff are ok.

Rooms get cleaned every day, sometimes very late in the day though. WiFi is very poor speed and can be frustrating at times, you have to log in every 30 minutes if you have not been online etc.
Food very bland, very expensive in Cafe 2000 but staff are nice Food cooking smells out the seating area and smells of gas all the time. Wine is hit or miss...free flow wine is a laugh, you can never get them to come and fill up your glass. Trying to get a taxi as well is a hit or miss, sometimes you wait 25 minutes, not hotels fault but frustrating away. No entertainment, outside pool is dirty, outside spa needs a good clean, green scum all around the edges of water level.

The hotel is well located for most of the attractions in Singapore there is a bus stop outside which takes you to the gardens by the bay. The train station is a 2 minute walk with all the connections and ease there, you are also a short walk from the hubbub that is China Town. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained, the staff are polite and helpful. The breakfast is pretty much the same as you would find in ay other business hotel around the world and the wi fi connection is good unless you happened to want to use it between 6 and 8pm when it does go slow but I would hazard that is due to the high volume of usage! There is a decent gym and an outdoor pool both are extremely quiet especially during the day.

I visit Singapore fairly regularly and have usually stayed at the Intercontinental and more recently, Park Royal Pickering, following an office move. These are both excellent hotels. However, on this occasion, the colleagues I was travelling with wanted to stay at the M Hotel, so I agreed to give it a go. We had standard rooms which were adequately furnished for the business traveller, but spoilt by the many stains on the carpet and on the furniture. Soundproofing in the rooms was poor and I could hear every noise in the adjoining bathrooms. Housekeeping staff were very friendly, but for some reason, worked quite late shifts which meant a couple of times when I came back to the hotel early-ish (around 4.30) to change for evening functions, they would still be making my room up, which was inconvenient. The porters were also helpful, but I found the receptionists unsmiling and slow. Check-in/out seemed to take an age and as a result, there was often a long wait at reception. There were a couple of issues with my booking, and on both occasion there was no apology from the staff. Breakfast was reasonably priced by hotel standards (SGD 20) and quite good considering it was a buffet, though as it always seemed very busy, it was hard to order tea and coffee and on several occasions, we resorted to ordering from the counter ourselves. Its location is ok if you want Robinson Road, Chinatown or the port area (what's left of it), it is right on the edge of the CBD, so a good 25 minute walk to Raffles Place. If this hotel had been in another city, it would have fared ok, but compared to other hotels in Singapore where there is generally a strong service culture, it falls short.

I am here for business. When I read some of the reviews I was scared that this was not really the place to be - with Internet and people issues. I have faced none. The internet speed is decent and the people are helpful.
The coffee shop offer good food, but with increasing prices, this is a little expensive as is the Japanese restaurant in the hotel.
The walk from the nearest underground station is not too far and the cab service is also good.
Please do we aware that a lot of cabs and establishments do not accept VISA any more. AMEX is also pretty dicey. They love MasterCard it seems here in Singapore.

Stayed twice in the last few months. The rooms are small, in reasonable condition and in a good location for the financial district.
The advice from the concierge desk is mixed, once we got a great tip, the other a complete lemon.

Room Tip: Higher the quieter.
