We stayed here again because of the good deal online for 1 night. Got a superior room as what we wanted but was given at the corner as it was meant to be bigger as stated by front service desk. Room pretty ok...seemed outdated and old. Although we requested for a non-smoking room, we still could smell tobacco smoke. Toilet was spacious and seemed old too. Mineral Water bottle placed in the toilet which we thought could be placed somewhere on the study table inside the room. Bed was comfy this time as compared to the family room we stayed in during the last visit. Pillows were stil soft so we requested for 'Multi-Profile' pillows. Wi-fi, when used over PC was interuppted hourly; pretty disrupting. Study chair not good for posture and not ergonomic-friendly. Just ok for short stay, overall...

A pleasant hotel stay. A smooth check-in and we were given a complimentary upgrade, which was nice of the front-desk staff. The room is well-maintained, spacious and big with a balcony view. Nice sofa to sit on despite old stains seen. Ideal for family getaway. The hotel lobby looks elegant with a citrus fragrant scent that refreshes the mood for
travellers. No complimentary newspaper provided in the morning. There is a door attached to our room; a connecting room which the guests next door made a lot of noise by mid-night; could hear them talking loudly and their television was pretty loud which disturbed our
sleep throughout the night. The bed mattress was hard
and pillows were too soft! Overall, just okay for short stay.

Of the 200+ hotels in Singapore Copthorne King's is a good option price wise, but its location is difficult. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service to various locations, but otherwise its a long walk to get to anywhere, or a taxi.

The hotel itself is very comfortable. A later than normal checkout is offered suggesting that the target market is tourists. Rooms are a reasonable size and well appointed, and have recently been refurbished. Four dining venues offer good eating options.

A pleasant stay, but hard to get terribly enthusiastic.

The room we were allocated was situated on a corner was very small indeed . It was very tired.
The bed looked inviting after the long haul flight but proved to be as hard as rock very very uncomfortable indeed so had a restless night. We chose to dine in the Princess Terrace Cafe offering International choices. My meal consisted of what I believed to be frozen portion food.
My wife s arrived at least 20 mins later . They had not placed the order. There was one other person in the cafe. Absolute farce!!!!!
My advice stay eleswhere!

Room Tip: avoid corner location

We stayed at this hotel during the Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) convention in April. We were sponsored by the organizers so we didn't actually have a choice. We normally stay in the Orchard area (Meritus Mandarin though I think they already changed the name).

We had a pleasant enough stay. The rooms were clean and adequate. We had a problem at the Front Desk because the staff didn't seem to understand us and frankly, things were chaotic because although there were so many of them at the Front Desk, they didn't seem to be oriented about the guests of FHA. There were kits that they couldn't locate.

The location is not very good because you have to take a cab to wherever you want to go. The train station is not near enough to walk with the heat and all. Although the location is near Clark Quay, Bugis and Orchard, you will always need a cab. Cabs in Singapore do brisk business at night so prepare to queue for a minimum 20 min.

The hotel has a nice citrusy scent that welcomes you when you enter the lobby. The lobby restaurant where we had our breakfast was nice enough. The breakfast spread was adequate with Asian and continental choices.

We had a chance to eat at the Chinese restaurant and it was ok too.
