We were there for two nights i a deluxe room.Already when we arrived in the lobby it was quiet and calm for such a big hotel. We were leaded to our room and it was so nice and clean. All the functions in the room were controlled by a bedside panel, even electric curtains. The bathroom has a very nice rainshower and separate bath and toiletries from Le Labo. They have also a large choice of breakfast in Prego.Would I come back? For sure! This is a 5 star worth it!

We used this as a base to explore Singapore after arriving on quite an early flight from the UK. The receptionist was so welcoming and genuinely interested in us giving practical advice. There was also a hospitality room and use of the facilities whilst we waited for a room to become available (it was very early). We had room only and it allowed us to experiment with breakfasts in the locale.although in talking to others the breakfast is said to be superb whilst expensive.

Our room was superb and the balcony overlooked Raffles and the skyline with everything you would expect from a hotel of this quality. The situation again was perfect as there is a very modern and comprehensive shopping mall and food court within the complex allowing easy travel/exploration from the underground station within and we got a day pass for trains and busses.

Singapore is a fantastc city and the hawker foods a real eprience and so cheap (pick a busy one). Mind you there was one meal ordered at random and I couldn't recognise anything on it unsure whether vegetable/meat and/or fish but when in Rome.....

Apart from the usual experiences (Raffles Long Bar etc.) we found the Changi Church and museum moving and worthwhile - get a bus from the airport which goes directly there.

Room Tip: Probably higher is better for views

Hubby and I enjoyed our 4 nights at the Fairmont. Check in was quick and efficient and front desk staff were extremely professional and very welcoming. We had sailed into Singapore on a cruise ship and were thrilled with our huge room, and spacious bathroom after spending 2 weeks in a small cabin and even smaller bathroom. As many reviewers have stated, this hotel is very central with the shopping mall, food court in the basement and easy access to the MRT. There is a bus stop just across the road (outside Raffles Hotel) too so from the Fairmont it's very easy to access all that Singapore has to offer. We especially enjoyed the Nespresso coffee machine in the room with unlimited supply of 'pods'. A big thumbs up to all the Fairmont staff and thank you for making our stay such a pleasant and comfortable one.

This is an odd review to write as I received the ultimate upgrade from my booked room. On checking in at the Executive Lounge I was told "we have a nice upgrade to a suite for you". I was then to discover it was to the Presidential Suite.

And what a room it is. As you would expect it is large and probably goes around a quarter of the hotel so get get all sorts of views of Singpore fromt he harbour to the city. There is an enormous bedroom with sitting area and study. The attached bathroom is large and houses its own sauna.

The lounge room has a contemporary Asian feel and abuts a terrace with a BBQ. On the other side is a decent dining room and kitchen.

It was more than I could ask for in a one night stay - in fact I did not want to leave the room.

The Executive Lounge is quite nice but the decor is dating a little. Great staff and at table service and nice to see real champagne (Moet) rather than some sparkling wine being served. The food is more meal style than canape so don't fill up too much before dinner!!

I had dinner at Prego and it was a wonderful experience. Great pizza and a nice wine service to match. I also recommend breakfast here as it has one of the most comprehensive offerings in Singapore. Wonderful fresh juices, great coffee and cuisines from around the world.

Also used the spa area which was excellent. A very nice steam room, sauna and range of whirlpools.

Overall this was an incredible stay. I was terribly spoilt with the room but the staff were also truly wonderful and really made the stay.

My husband and I stayed in a room on the club floor for four nights in February 2013. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Fantastic room, great club amenities, good breakfasts, great service, and great location, with the metro very close by. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The pool is absolutely beautiful- unfortunately, we were so busy I didn't have a chance to use the spa.

Overall, this is one of the best club floors I've ever been to in a hotel. There's even a small fitness area- I made frequent use of that as well as the abundant bottles of water.

Hotel internet was also very good.

I'd easily recommend this hotel, whether visiting for business or pleasure.

This was the second time we have stayed. Our room was not as nice this time but still good. I would say this hotel is 4.5 stars not 5. Last time we were greeted by the man who opens the large doors as you enter, he was wearing traditional clothes. Not this time. However the staff greeted us warmly.
The cost cannot be beaten as other lesser quality hotels are the same. Would return.

The location is outstanding. Connected to the subway and walking distance to shopping and dining. You will discover a mind blowing collection of dining choices in the basement of the hotel complex. You could be there a month and still not exhaust your options and when you finally do there is even a supermarket down there to explore. The rooms are slightly dated but very clean and functional. The hotel is great choice.

Room Tip: South tower rooms offer better views
