Stayed at the hotel in late July for a conference. Think the hotel is a typical business hotel but does a very good job for such a large place. Had a room on the 35th floor overlooking the city and each room has a balcony which is unusual for such a tall hotel.
Got a twin bedded room as had my daughter in tow and found the beds to be very hard for western tastes and had similar comments from many colleagues. Room was clean and service in the hotel was fine.
Food wise most of my eating was at the hotel and I found it to be of a very high standard for such food which was a pleasant suprise and the hotel staff service at events was excellent.
Location wise the hotel is next door to City Hall station (we got the train to and from the airport which is a bargain at $1.50 each way) and walking distance from the waterfront which has many resturants and bars. There are also three large malls, one next door, one five mins walk away and one mall connecting the two and Raffles Hotel is just round the corner which makes it a great location to get around Singapore from in my opinion.
