I stayed in a Deluxe King room at the Singapore Manadarin Oriental Hotel. The service in this hotel as in all Mandarin Orientals is excellent, from when you are met at the door, to reception, room service and the bar. Check-in was quick and efficient - the person who checked me in took me to my room and explained how everything worked. The rooms are situated around a central atrium. My room was spacious, with a large king bed, safe, good quality air-conditioning, well stocked desk, TV, DVD player, bath robe, slippers, fruit, bottled water, etc. The bathroom had both a bath and walk-in shower. The only complaint I have about the room is that it was quite dark, even with every light on. In fact, the whole hotel feels quite dark.

I ordered room service breakfast. There is quite a choice although it is not cheap. It arrived at precisely the time I requested. The trolly it was brought on opened up into a table. There is a warmer underneath the table to keep any cooked food warm. The fruit, juice and hot food were all excellent.

There is a great open-air roof-top pool on the 5th floor. There is plenty of seating round the pool and the pool attendant will make up a bed with towels and provides iced water. It is a large pool which is a perfect temperature for swimming.

Great hotel for a two day stopover on a flight from London to Australia. Check-in was friendly and efficient and the Club Harbour Suite on the 16th floor was spacious, clean and had a fabulous view of the Singapore skyline.

I know many previous reviewers have praised the bed. I am afraid I am not one of them, it was horrible! The bed was way too soft and the pillows had no firmness to them at all, which did result in back and hip pain in the mornings.

The Club lounge offers a wonderful selection of food and beverages from breakfast to canapés in the evening. Pool is refreshing, well staffed and well worth a visit.

Wifi with the club rooms is free and a late checkout up to 6pm is a nice convenience.

Staff are efficient, friendly and provide a fabulous service.

Overall a relaxing two day stay.

I stayed here for a week on business in October 2013. Arriving off a 14-hour flight, check-in was joined up - bags were whisked off, check-in was quick and painless, and a member of staff brought me to my room.

Rooms have been refurbished, and my pool-view room was a good size with separate working, sleeping and relaxing areas, and a generously sized bathroom with separate shower and bath. A small welcome gift with a card from the manager was a nice touch.

Service here was impeccable - staff went out of their way to be helpful and provide great service. The hotel's bars and restaurants provide a good selection (MELT's staff were great, bringing me some nice complimentary extras and, as a solo diner, making sure I had reading materials) but you're close to thousands of other dining and beverage options locally, and the local mall is a few seconds walk away.

Swimming pool highly recommended - lovely space, great staff bringing water, towels, cold flannels, etc. and you have great views over the CBD.

Working from here is also easy - good desk and working area in room, and you can connect multiple devices to the wifi. Good choice for a stay in Singapore.

We love this hotel. There is a feeling of calm that comes over you as soon as you walk in the door. The Club Lounge is the best we have experienced anywhere, from the great breakfast to the top class wine and snacks (make that meals) in the evening to tasty snacks throughout the day. But you don't have to be staying at club level to experience the wonderfully friendly staff. Everybody says hello to you from cleaning ladies to maintenance staff. The pool is the best in Singapore with lovely little shot glasses of fresh fruit juice offered to you regularly. And I agree with a previous reviewer, the beds are heavenly.

The hotel is centrally located with amazing view from the window. As a tourist one can get the feel like living in a typical Singapore picture postcard with Marina Sands, the flyer, Gardens by the bay, Helix Bridge all in one frame.
The check –in was very efficient and all the staff exuded a welcoming feel with cheerful faces always ready to assist. The rooms were good with very comfortable beds and good sized bathroom though the shower area may be a little crampy for some people. Breakfast buffet is lavish and has a wide variety of cuisines.
The hotel is well connected to all the major attractions of the city and is also just a flight of stairs from the Marina square shopping mall. The midnight meal that we ordered from the room service was excellent and arrived quickly and the service was unobtrusive and efficient. Overall it was an excellent stay and I can’t find any faults during our 4 day stay with them.
