Amazing value for money hotel right in the heart of the city. Though it is a four seasons hotel, it is less pricey than most hotels in the neighbourhood. Upgrade to a suite was an added attraction! I would definitely stay here next time.

Stayed at the Four Seasons Executive Suite for the weekend.

Pros: The suite is big and spacious. Location wise, it's near Tanglin Mall, where you can do a little shopping.

Cons: Plenty. Unfortunately.

1. Tried to check in at 2pm, but the suite was not ready. Was told to come back in 1 hour, someone would call me. Finally was given a suite on the 5th floor around 330pm. However, was not informed that 6th floor is undergoing renovations. Knocking and pounding noises can be heard throughout the stay, both on saturday (till evening) and sunday (early morning). Had to get out of the room for peace of mind. Checked out early on sunday (after breakfast) because of the noise. Couldn't take it anymore! So do not stay anywhere near the 6th floor!!

2. Because of the renovation, the smell of contact glue was overwhelming. I think it came in through the centralised aircon system. It gave me a headache.

3. The suite has two balconies, but both were in pathetic states. Dried leaves strewn all over the balcony floor. Stepped out briefly and decided to keep the glass doors closed. But later had to opened them as the smell of contact glue (see point 2) was too overwhelming.

4. Tried to order room service. No one picked up the phone. Gave up!

5. Breakfast queue was really long. Waited quite a while to be seated. Waiting staff obviously overworked. Piled the plates myself while waiting for them to clear. Although the breakfast spread was quite good, it was not tasty at all. Even the hot stations were disappointing. I only enjoyed the danish pastries and fruits.

Overall, it was a really disappointing stay, having paid quite a bit for the suite. Although the stay was memorable, but it was for the wrong reasons. Hard to believe that this is a four season's property. So if you were looking for a staycation, i'd say avoid staying here. But if you are hardly going to spend much time in the hotel anyway, i guess no harm, unless you are adverse to contact glue!

Room Tip: Stay far away from the renovating floor.

I joined my husband on his business trip and found this hotel to be very lovely. Our room was on the 12th floor so not sure if that means a club room or not but it was rather large and the bed to be very comfortable. Seems housekeeping was there twice a day with service so never any dirty towels or full trash cans. The concierge stayed on top of my lost baggage situation and sent either phone calls or written notification on the updates. It did seem a little warm at night but not sure if that was just me or from what others have said from being on a higher floor. Haven't personally eaten in the hotel, but Brunetti next door in Tanglin Mall had the best truffle fries ever! And the hustle and bustle of Orchard is just a 5/10 min walk away. I would definitely return to the smiling faces at The Regent Hotel.

Very good hotel, it is close to Orchard street and many shops around. Nice amenities as well, a little bit old but overall my experience was good. It is a big hotel and with many options to eat, a gym, spa, etc.

Room Tip: book through internet to get better rates

It has been a while since I came back to this hotel. Normally I would have had a relatively nice stay and I was toggle in choosing between this hotel and a nearby one. This time, it's the Regent.

Firstly, they failed to book me into a room with King Sized bed. I waited 30 minutes for a room on level 12 to be cleaned. Luckily the front desk manager treated me to a cuppa tea and advanced internet surfing for me to kill time. Thanks very much.

When I got my room, noticed that a few things were not working. 1. The sliding door of the wall cabinet to the safe couldn't slide. Tried to push harder and fear the door might jump out of the groove and crash on me. 2. The stopper of the bath tub didn't work. So there went my hot bath. 3. The electrica socket, one, of them also didn't work. I feel that the hotel maintenance is over loading the plugs! The one behind the bed side table. Hrmmmmm.....

However, I enjoyed the in room dining. Always a delight. They even customized my pasta! The waiter was also sensitive in noticing that i may have ordered too much and gave me workable suggestions for future visits.

Service on evening house keeping. Someone rang and within split second, the door opened. I was caught by surprise really. Almost choked on my dinner. Didn't expect how accessible to them. Don't even know if door latching will increase my level of safety. Think the hotel should find another way of finding out if housekeeping is adequate in the evenings. Having said that the King Sized bed was worth the wait.

Two friends and I shared a suite at the Regent for a weekend in Singapore. It's surprisingly hard to find somewhere that will sleep 3 adults, so this was a good option for us. It's hard to fault this hotel - the room was large and comfortable, as were the beds and the 2 bathrooms. The service was top-notch and everything was easy. I'm only marking the hotel down slightly because it's rather boring - fairly staid and nondescript decor, not much of a view, not much atmosphere. For this reason, and this reason alone, another time I would probably stay at either one of the famous old hotels like the Fullerton or the Raffles, or one or the fancy new hotels with fabulous modern architecture like MBS or the Ritz-Carlton.

I stayed for only one night and the hotel its very nice although a little bit old, never the less the location is just great, a few steps from Orchard Road with lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel staff are very nice, the hotel is clean. The breakfast is really good.
