Pros:
1. Located close to Clark Quay area.
2. Helpful and friendly staff.
3. Good room size and decor.

Cons:
1. Wash basin is located in the room and not in the bathroom.
2. Nearest MRT station is quite far if going on foot.

We had booked this hotel at the last moment on phone and still got good rates.

We just finished a 2-days meeting in this hotel. Though old and in need of some facelift, it is a decent hotel with decent facilities and restaurants. Very peaceful location a plus for not being in town.

The daylight and spacious meeting rooms make great venue for staff trainings. We found the team of banquet staff : Mustakim, Shahrizal, Eradat, Geok Eng and Kelvin very helpful, prompt and accommodating. If anything, they are the saving grace of what we experienced in the hotel as a whole.
The housekeeping or cleaning team of the hotel is near non-existence! We entered our meeting room with dirty carpet filled with pins from previous event. We asked for it to be cleaned the first day after our event. But forgot to mention the horrendously fingers smudges on the glass doors! It is amazing how so many managers walking passed our meeting room with guests could not see what is deemed as months of built-up hands prints at eye-level!

The dining experience at the Indonesia Restaurant was pleasant at best. Not of the service but of the good food - compliments to the chefs. Replenishment at the buffet line was slow and no smiles or greetings by host or service staff.

The Square Restaurant had a pool of livelier Filipina staff. They at least greet us and with smiles. Some of the food items were rather nice but it is appalling that the meat station is manned rather out of reach to guests. Even for cheap items like "roast chicken" or "roast duck", you need to offer your plate for the "cook" to stack 1 miserable piece on your plate! As a guest, I do feel like a beggar especially after waiting in Q, because the same "cook" also mann the noodle station. And it's not even prime cut wagyu beef! Could with some generosity here.

Great banquet team and may they be recognized as we will return for meetings.

Room Tip: Choose higher floors.

We stayed at the Furama Riverfront Hotel last October for 2 nights for the first leg of our honeymoon around Asia. The hotel is not breathtaking, as you walk in there are shops and a lounge area with huge glass ceiling to floor windows and a waterfall outside this is the area where the piano is played - you can imagine this hotel would have been amazing in the 80's.

We were checked in quickly and the staff were aware we were on our honeymoon and had just had a very long flight from the UK. they were very nice to us and upgraded our room. The room was a little cramped but very nicely decorated, it looked modern compared to the rest of the hotel . The bathroom is sort of in the room, it's hard to explain but it doesn't feel as private as other hotels I have stayed at, but we noticed that this was common in other hotels we stayed at in the Far East. the toiletries were good quality (Crabtree and Evelyn) and very generously stocked. The hotel was in a good location and the staff at reception were very helpful in advising us on where to visit, length of journeys etc. All in all it wasn't the best looking hotel we stayed at, the food was ok, not particularly memorable, but we were made to feel welcome and when we next visit Singapore - hopefully next year we will probably stay here again. And that's more than can be said for some of the other hotels we stayed at in Asia.

I would definitely recommend visiting Sentosa island for the day even if you are only in Singapore for 2 nights like we were. It's a wonderful fun filled resort with lots to see, eat and do. It's a also a lot cheaper than you would pay to visit a resort such as Orlando Disney and it's great for grown ups, you don't feel as though you are in a kiddy place at all.

stayed here for a night.. the rooms are decent but service is non existent. The concierge didnt even bother with my bags when I got into the lobby. No attempt to help or even ask if i needed help. Front desk personnel are very cold and impersonal. Not near the MRT either. All in all nothing bad but nothing good either.

Room Tip: choose the tower wing

The hotel has been recently renovated, and now includes all modern amenities that a business traveller is seeking. The executive club rooms are quite functional, although some may find the glass bathroom somewhat confronting. A blackout curtain is provided for those seeking a greater amount of privacy, however being able to watch tv whilst relaxing in the bath does have its benifits!

Centrally located only a short walk to Clarke Quay, Chinatown and an MRT.

First off, nothing is what it seems when you look at the pictures on the hotel site. All those are all deluxe rooms and above. The one that we got was a large space room. 2 beds. 1 king size and the other a little kids size. Although, it was not planned, we still accepted that room. The bathroom was well furnished and had the right amount of necessities. Also, it was quiet. The crack at the bottom of the door was slightly small so you rarely hear anything that makes a sound from the inside of the room. All in all, good stay, good staff, better deals.

We recently stayed at Furama Riverfront prior to our aborted cruise on "Sun Princess". When we arrived we were booked into a deluxe room on the 11th floor. When we got out of the lift there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke so we immediately went back down to the reception desk to request another floor. We were put down on the 5th floor which was an Executive floor. When we first went into the room, the glass shower/toilet area was a bit off-putting, but we found the blind which gave some privacy. We had friends come in, and when my husband needed to use the bathroom, he ended up going down to the public toilets as the glass walls are definitely not sound-proof. That was really the only downside. The buffet breakfast was excellent. I had stayed in this hotel many years ago when it was the Apollo, and there are definite improvements since Furama took it over. We found the staff in all areas very friendly and helpful. Yes I would stay here again. Just across the road is the Singapore River where we caught a cruise boat down to the waterfront. There are also numerous places to eat along the riverfront.
