This is the place to wear your casual clothes, just sit back and relax. Indian, thai and finger food are at offer. All three cusines are a nice and very well priced. Its not air conditioned hence ypu may prefer going in the evening when less hot.

“Best ambience bar in Katong area”
Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

It's a nice bar, that's all. Didn't try food, only beers. Can't say they have loads of options for drinks, but enough to be recommended.
Loved the atmosphere though.
Can't complain about the cost too, when 4 drinks cost you 40$. The service is a bit slow though, and the staff is not that well trained, but nothing bothersome.

Overall, if you are around the area, it's worth a visit.

“... Have you any food and drink, No sir, no sir, only one waitress, ...”
Reviewed December 21, 2012 via mobile

Nice setting. On a corner of a not so busy road. The evening breeze was great. European expats like to hang out here and talk about their last trip to wherever on the company's expense.

Beer was cold. If you're going to sit at a table though, choose one with comfortable chairs. The ones near the foot path have no back.

Careful with the house wine. This may be subjective but the French offering tasted very much like it had come from a half empty bottle that had been sitting in the fridge without a cork for a day or so. I guess the regular guests like it.

Thai was available but we ordered Indian. Oily rice that could have been recycled from lunch or yesterday even. The meat dishes were mainly sinews and fat. The Masala fish didn't have the texture nor taste of fish. The curries all tasted the same. An overload of spice? Hopefully not recycled as well.

Service: one girl to service the entire restaurant. What is there to say but be prepared to be ignored.

I was thirsty and couldn't wait more than 10 minutes  so I ordered our drinks at the bar Australian pub style. I wanted to order my food hawker-stall style from the the kitchen but was told the bar has to punch in the order first so relax and sit down.

We did eventually order our food when a scruffy looking waiter in a black tee shirt suddenly got up from one of the tables to get some more beer for himself and his mates and helped out so the lobe waitress could take our order.

All in all a rather unpleasant experience. Went home and ate. No pics this time. We didn't think it would be appropriate. Like lots of things in Singapore, it looks good but scratch the surface and underneath you find the same old same old. It looks like it could be a nice place and probably is if you just want a beer and sit at the bar.

“New Indian place on Tg Katong”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

I had recently been here with a couple of associates for lunch. The place has a bar with a few beers on tap and a Thai as well as an Indian kitchen. We tried out some Indian food - we had Saag mutton, Butter chicken and Daal maakhni. We had rice, garlic naan and kulcha as sides accompanying the dishes. Somehow, the meat was not tender and did not feel well marinated, the daal seemed a tad under cooked. The breads were probably the highlight of the meal. I would say that the dishes were overall below average and I felt I may not go there looking for Indian food again - given some of the other choices in the vicinity. The place is well located and the open dining area definitely makes the ambience pretty and well worth a visit for some beers in the evening.
