What a nice hostel! We decided to take the private room (for once) instead of the dorm, and there were no regrets.
The hostel was easy to find, because very specific directions were given on the website, and upon booking as well. I'll have to say it was a bit far (10+ mins walk?) from the nearest MRT station, but there was a bus stop less than 2 mins away. Staff was helpful in letting me check-in earlier than 2pm 'cos the room was ready, and even helped me out by checking the bus routes online.
Shoes needed to be off at all times, but that contributes to the homely atmosphere. The common area was cosy, and most importantly, neat. There was a staff at the counter 24 hours (I know cos I got up to get some water from the kitchen middle of the night), so security wasn't an issue.
The private room was very small - Imagine the room being able to fit a queen size bed, and some walking space of 50cm X 200cm (I think). Some challenges in maneuvering around the room, but we were fine with that.
Bathrooms & toilets were separate, so that was perfect. And they were clean!
All in all, the only thing preventing me from giving this a 5 star rating was the size of the room. Other than that, you're almost there. :)
