Owner description: Take in sweeping views of the Singaporean Central Business District, have a meal at one of its food and retail outlets, and travel to Sentosa from the park. Mount Faber is certainly worth visiting, whether you’re looking for meal options or breathtaking city views.

“Ummm intresting view”

Its basically just a hillock that has a view of the city and Sentosa, only because its slightly higher than the rest of the city. Like everything else in Singapore, they've made it up with a lot of care. If you're going to Sentosa by the cable car, you may want to take it from here, rather than from the more boring Vivocity station.

“For a scenic exercise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Yup, this is not a sit around all day kind of activity. You gotta walk. But it is totally worth it! Tip: Dont use the stairs to get to the peak. There is actually 3 way to get to the peak of Mt. Faber. One is the cable car either from Sentosa or Vivo City. The second is the crazy stairs straight up to the top. The third one is my favorite. You start from The Canopy walk (forest walk), then work your way up to the peak and reaching the cable car station at one of the restaurants there. For details of this walk, you can look here:

PS: Plan your walk, bring lots of water, be sure to have breakfast first. Make sure it wont rain that day.

“Excellent views and excellent dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

Probably the best view in Singapore. Great place to dine or just to grab a quick coffee. Be sure to take the cable car on the way up, if possible all the way from Sentosa - great views.

“Singapore from above”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Continuation of walking trip, starting from Telok Blangah car park, across Henderson Waves and then upwards to the Jewel Box. This is the launching point for the cable car, which travels to Harbourfront and then on to Sentosa.
Arrived at 645 am in the morning, luxuriating in the cool air and relative tranquility. The Jewelbox is closed at this time, but you can still get views across from the side of the cable car platform, across to Sentosa Islands. There are also decorated cable cars scattered around - as previous reviewer mentioned, it was Angry Birds this time round!
We took the Mount Faber loop, a circular walk around the top of the hill, incorporating the lookout point at Upper Faber Point. At Upper Faber Point, there are panoramic views over the surrounding islands. There even is a little Merlion, for those of you who insist on having your picture with him/her. Below Faber Point, there are small murals depicting historic events of Singapore. The surrounding paths are green and pleasant, though a little up-and-down.
Best enjoyed in the peace and cool of the early morning.

“Beautiful scenery. Good place for a quiet date”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

Although this place is much more convenient to drive up but its worth the journey. Personally I think if you want to find a place to have a nice and quiet dinner with your partner or potential date, do consider this place. If you have oversea guests, I would highly recommend this place for dinner as you can watch the sky unfolds, the colors changes right in front of you and being able to see lights from the skyscrapers is an enjoyment when company is great.
