As rooms in previous hotel were too small, we decided to move to Royal India. But, our decision was not at all good because of the following:
1. Lots of cockroaches in the room....
2. On conveying them about cockroaches, a weird guy came and sprayed so much insect killer that even humans can suffocate
3. Bathroom was worst, having no maintenance done in years it seemed.
4. AC would take hours to bring temperature to normal, it never did cooling.
5. One positive point, location. Its near to mustafa-24 hr super market/mall. Many options for food also available near by.

Please go through followings & decide about the room booking:
1. Rooms are full of cockroach & other harmful insects.
2. No pour shower but a funny pipe (!)
3. We had booked 3 rooms, all the toilet door locks were broken.
4. There is nothing special about this hotel except that it is close to Mustaffa and small restaurants.
5. We feel panicked at night to back in the room.
6.First night not a single A/C was working.
7. No cleaning service was available until they have been called several times.

Room Tip: Think twice before booking!!

There is nothing special about this hotel except that it is close to Mustaffa and small restaurants. Not worth the price you pay. Small room without window. Even with AC on you feel stuffy. This hotel has no restaurant. Too expensive for the very basic facilities. This hotel is OK if only to sleep for a few hours if tha AC is in order. This is very expensive compared to the hotels in other asian capitals. They do not provide breakfest for the exorbitant price they charge for the room.

When we were to extend our stay and were told that hotel where we were staying was sold out, had no choice but to move out. We thought let us have our dinner and then look out for a hotel, finished our food and stepped in to check out the facility.

Realised it was a big drop from where we were staying, but was ideal since it was located so close to all the food oultets which we were frequenting. However for the price he was charging he can certainly provide more comfort.

Biggest let down was the air-conditioning, though it was a split Ac, it badly needed some amount of servicing. One night we were coold by our own sweat with the fan working. After some noise the last night was better, as they seemed to have cleaned the air filter.

Location wise a super one if you are from India, Mustafa, is nearby, all Indian restaurants scattered around this hotel, MRT station near by

This hotel is located just across the 24hr bustling Mustafa Centre and is surrounded with a lot of Indian & Bangladeshi restaurants. We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is basic but clean, bed was comfortable, with no noise from the road, bathroom was small but having hot water. There is no room service in the hotel, period. They do have a split ac in the room but it is fixed at a certain temp & you cannot change the temp or the blower speed as no remote is provided eventhough you may ask for it. They give you 24hr check in & check out time compared to the nearby Tai-Hoe hotel which has a 2pm check in. You can also haggle for the room rent if you know it is not a tourist season. Overall a basic place without any bells & whistles but good enough if you donot want to spend more for a 4hr sleep & a bath(which is what we did) in a day.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Little India, just stone throw from Mustafa Shopping Mall and surrounded several restaurants and hawker shops. Single room is pretty small but clean. The rooms opposite to the lift can be noisy with people going out and coming in till late at night. So my request for a room change was immediately obliged and was located on level 3 away from the lift. Quite a safe place and the staff were very friendly and helpful. No bottled water or kettle or mini bar or phones or internet facility in the room. Just very basic with attached toilet and shower. Linen was OK but towels were very old and stiff. managed to get better towels by complaining to Reception lady.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the lift and the road are quieter.
