GREAT
- easy commute, near Lavander station
- very comfortable bed
GOOD
- customer service (check-in at 12midnight was fast even though there were a lot of people)
- new rooms, space was big enough for two
- good value for money
BAD
- our room wasn't cleaned even though we put the make up room sign

After 2 nights at V Lavender with my husband on a stopover, I wouldn't hesitate to return for a similar length visit. The location for travelers passing through is unbeatable in that the hotel is directly above the Lavender MRT and a quick, easy train trip from Changi. Smilarly, it make getting around the city very easy. Checking in and out was very quick, straightforward and pleasant and a request gave us a late checkout of 12pm. The 24 hour food court directly above the MRT meant breakfast was an easy task.

We stayed in the slightly larger room, which was fine for 2 days and didnt feel cramped. The bathroom and especially the shower was very compact but quite usable. Bed was comfortable and despite packing earplugs as a precaution against the expected noise, they were not needed. The room was spotless and all amenities were new.

My only complaint is that the room wasn't serviced at all during our stay. We met a housekeeper in the hall at about 7pm and asked for some fresh towels which were provided, and this was absolutely fine for us (i dont really need the room to be made up if only staying 2 nights). Of course, this may irritate some. And on a longer stay it would concern me. But on this occasion it didn't detract from the otherwise good amenties and service we encountered.

I was looking for a well-located hotel near the MRT and this one pretty much meets the bill.
It is very new and is in a great location above Lavender MRT station - only two stops from City Centre. The rooms are very small, however, and lack facilities - no soap, no reading lights etc. The pool area was a nice surprise, but the restaurant was very disappointing and would not allow chargeback to the room. The staff in reception were very helpful and there are plenty of them behind the front desk, which is a good thing as it did get a bit chaotic in the smallish lobby area at times.

Room Tip: Some higher floor rooms have good views of the citty

I pick this hotel because it's located on MRT station. Why I said that way, coz the hotel building was precisely on upper ground the MRT. As a tourist I found many advantages of this hotel, you can find food court next to the hotel and it's cheaper than you could find in orchard area! (eg. Ananas cafe)
Bottom line is : best value hotel on the area

however bathrooms are too small and if some noisy kids are staying on your floor than the soundscan be easily heard...the biggest plus point is that it is on top of Lavender MRT station and near to the CBD....

Room Tip: One should go for the deluxe room

Pros: Great location (food court and MRT station just next door), nice pool, rather clean rooms (but could be cleaner), great city view from upper floors, big windows in rooms, cheaper than other hotels in Singapore.

Cons: No breakfast, very small rooms (have seen rooms this size only in Tokyo), only one towel per person and when we asked for another one - we didn't get any, no spoons (!) in rooms (you can BUY one for 2 dollars!!) so my tip is: if you want to make some tea or coffee, then take plastic spoon from the food court downstairs ;)

And the worse is that guests urinate in the pool shower cubicles - I know this is not the hotel's fault but... it's still smelly :( Maybe this is because the showers are in a completely different place than toilets? It was a really unpleasant experience.

We, a family with a teenager spent 2 nights (11th and 12th August) at V Lavender. We chose the hotel because it was the only acceptable price for a 4* in the city and we could not read any review because it was open the same week we booked it in internet. We were expecting a very new hotel.
The location is excellent when arriving from the airport because it is located on the metro station Lavender.
The hotel was really busy all the days we were there, a member of the personnel carried our luggage to our room but he asked us to pay for it ( by piece of luggage! ) It is the first time I see it.
The room was really tiny with a double bed that was no more than 135 cm wide and a single bed for our son. There was not much room for us to stand up. The room did not look new at all and the room smelled to dirty feet the two days. The second day and after spending all day out we found our room not done at 6pm! I asked for an iron at the front desk and later on the phone and I am still waiting for it!
The hotel does not fulfill what we should expect from a 4* hotel. We did not even try to have breakfast there and had it downstairs at the food area where there was a Wendy's and a large variety of shops: bakery, fruit juices and all the types of noodles you can imagine to eat there or take away.
There is a walking distance to the Little India district and to the nice Kampong Glam area were in August they have a Gastronomic fair with stands in the streets close to the Sultan Mosque.
Only go there if you are going to spend few days for exploring the city.
