Owner description: An integral part of Singapore's "City in a Garden" vision, Gardens by the Bay spans a total of 101 hectares of prime land at the heart of Singapore's new downtown - Marina Bay. Comprising three waterfront gardens - Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central - Gardens by the Bay will be a showcase of horticulture and garden artistry that will bring the world of plants to Singapore and present Singapore to the World.

Lots of beautiful flowers and trees you may have never seen before. Remember bringing your camera to take photos.

I went with my family to visit this attraction. We decided to venture into both paid observatories (both air-conditioned) since it was our first time there.

One observatory had many plants and flowers. Till today, I am still clueless of what I saw in the second observatory except for a simulated waterfall and a 6 floor high suspended walk. Both my kids love it as they are oblivious to heights. I have to admit I am not able to appreciate the plants from different countries there and after a while everything looks about the same. A place for botanist then? I do not think so.

There is also a children's park there which was good ... and less taxing in the pocket (i.e. free). I noticed there were many local expatriates there who have learnt the local customs - go for only cheap and good. The gardens itself is free. However, in order to see more, you will have to navigate under the Singapore sun. Now, if only the young plants could just grow a tad faster.

The observatories are worth a visit (note: singular) for locals and tourists. You can always visit the gardens anytime and it is less crowded than East Coast Park.

It is definitely worth a visit, don't miss it. This was all built on reclaimed land and apparently completed in only a few years. The design reinvents what a garden is by including technology and attractions. Great views to Marina Sands too. The forest dome and supertrees are both quite amazing.

a huge beautiful garden perfectly placed in the urban context. "clouds" of glass and trees / vertical gardens at the center of a large park that is really worth a visit. I've been also in the "clouds", but you can choose to walk in the park free, meeting thousands of different plants and flowers, gardens and trees from all around the world.
