Another large mall on the Orchard Road shopping strip, this mall has seven levels and more than 100 specialty stores including Cartier, Zara, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Dior and Armani. But it’s more than just designer brands that are featured here, with Ngee Ann City also housing beauty salons, bookstores and enrichment centres. With more than 30 food and beverage outlets serving Western, Chinese, Thai, Indonesia and Korean cuisine, you’ll also be sure to find something you that suits your palate. "

“Only if you want to visit Kinokuniya or whatever”

I usually stop by whenever I'm in Singapore, but I find myself asking why, as it's not like I can afford anything here...

This was the place to shop for luxury brands before ION Orchard and other newer, flashier malls came along; it also houses the biggest Kinokuniya bookstore in the country.

It maybe a little quiet on street level, but venture downstairs towards the basement and it's like night and day - the more affordable stores and eateries are down here as well as MRT access.

“From Top Floors to Basement”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2012

It is a tall mall for sure and if you're just looking around, you might find yourself tired when you haven't even seen more than half. It is always interesting to visit bookstores which is why I spent much of my time in Ngee Ann inside Kinokuniya. The mall offers a lot of variety of stores. Whether it is the food you're after or looking for a particular luxury item you didn't find in the adjacent mall, Ngee Ann may just be the place for you.

This shopping centre was new for me and we really enjoyed the variety of smaller shops plus Takashimaya department store had just about everything (Australian's this is like there Myer or David Jones).

“massive mall wiith history”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2012

Visited this mall and went to the Kinokuniya book store to purchase my son's holiday reader. It is a visually impressive structure with masses of outlets that cater to all shopper's tastes. Interestingly this part of Orchard Road used to be a Teochew graveyard untill the graves were relocated in the 1950s to enable redevelopment.
