Owner description: Holland Village Singapore is a hamlet tucked away behind the Singapore Botanic Gardens and is less that 10 minutes away from Orchard Road. This little spot has been referred to as Singapore's "Bohemian" enclave because of its variety of art and craft shops, art galleries, art framing specialists, street cobblers, gift shops, novelty shops, gourmet takeaway outlets, wine cellars, organic food outlets, custom-made shoes shop, imported kitchenware store, body waxing specialists, international school uniform tailors, master tailors, theme party clothing store, tarot card readers, ethnic home decor articles, fine dining restaurants and many other interesting shops. These outlets serve the residents of the surrounding upper and middle class estates. You can witness expatriate housewives spending their day here having breakfast, running errands, meeting up friends for lunch and enjoying a nail spa before shopping for groceries and heading home.Retail establishments are located along four streets and two shopping buildings. These streets are: (i) Jalan Merah Saga (ii) Holland Avenue (iii) Lorong Liput and (iv) Lorong Mambong. The shopping buildings are: (i) Holland Road Shopping Centre, which is along Holland Avenue, and (ii) Holland V Shopping Mall, which is presently being redeveloped, along Lorong Liput. These two buildings are often casually referred to by sales assistants as Holland Village Shopping Centre, which is a non-existent building. All these streets are within walking distances and it is a good place to spend the day strolling, relaxing in a spa, shopping, having the meal of your choice and seeing the world go by at one of its famous pubs.

My wife and I stayed in Holland villages and loved it. It is very relaxed and the area has next to everything. Plenty of options to eat any cuisine and if you want to catch a sporting event there is always a bar playing it.

Holland Village is a collection of shops, restaurants, bars, and pubs. It also has a full supermarket and mall. If you want knick-knacks, this mall is the place to come. It has a lot of tailor stores in it as well. There is a parking lot available but it is usually full so I recommend that you take the newly built MRT (Holland Village station). Avoid driving here if you can as it's a bit of a pain getting in and out. Lots of families dine here so there tends to be a lot of children playing around even up until 9/10 at night.

You believe me? This is my first time here although I am a Singaporean. My hubby took me here and I was like "omg, this is Singapore?" Totally do not look like you are in Singapore! Try to go there by MRT to Holland village, is very convenient with the mrt just nearby there... walk around their unique buildings and appreciate the beauty of other side of Singapore. If you want cheap food, go hawker.... if you have some penny to spare, go for the restaurant nearby... with pubs around too... Nice! I will definitely recommend to my foreign friends if they are here....

Full of bars and restaurants with a great buzz about the place. Expensive to drink but plenty of happy hour prices available before 9. Mexican Restaurant good, Crust pizza one of my my favourites. Kalong food court serves up some cheap and cheerful dishes.
