Took my family to this restuarant on boxing day. The service was attrocious which was a surprise for Singapore and also for such a swanky hotel. We were shown to a table and just left there for 15 minutes. After I chased down a waitress, we were told that they do not serve vegetables at this restuarant 'What'. We ordered lamb which was 90% fat. We spoke to another waiter who said that that was what you got for the most extortionate price and no apology. The food was poor and over priced.

If you go to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel just go for drinks (not the food) also over priced and go for the view which was spectacular nothing else. Not worth it.

located on the 57th floor, this place is really beautiful .....got a infinity pool on one side over looking the beautiful city side of Singapore and other side is occupied by cuddly romantic people in their private Jacuzzi , the entrance leads to you nice restaurant and lounge where u can have break fast as well as dine in night, there is also a very chick and fashionable disk .

Let me start by saying the Marina Bay Sands complex is truly impressive and is a must do on any visit to Singapore.

The views from Sky on 57 are impressive and the layout of the restaurant is very good. Unfortunately the night we were there it was raining and quite windy and the outdoor area was closed but the waiter took us out at the end of our meal for a look.

Our table for 2 was right by the window. I was a little surprised to see the floor covered with plastic matting in the area we were seated in. The waiter advised that the parquetry flooring was being renovated in this area of the restaurant.

The service was OK, nothing fantastic but not bad either. Good to see a Wine Sommelier on hand to assist with guiding you through the very extensive (but very expensive) wine list.

The biggest disappointment was the food. Again, it was just OK. Nothing to rave about. We found the sauces a little heavy and over powering and the core dish generally lacking a bit of flavour. They were elegantly plated and looked impressive. Also it was very rushed. Entree and Main was served in very quick succession. When it came to dessert I asked for them to wait 20 minutes before serving. I would have thought a restaurant of this calibre would have the service timings absolutely nailed.

This place should be great - stunning location and a well renowned chef but I can't help but think this is the elements they trade on, the dining experience and the food fall second.

I was quite prepared to spend the SGD500 but did we get value for money - unfortunately not.

Highly unlikely I would return.

Crowded if you're not staying at the hotel but you get what you pay for I guess. Truly spectaculr views of the bay but it shuts pretty early (10:00 I think).

We decided to splurge for dinner at the top of the Marina Bay Sands - what a bad idea. It started well with some nice cocktails. A little pricey, but the drinks were good. It was downhill from there. Food was nothing special, just expensive. Even the bread was cold and tasteless. The wine list prices were outrageous. Hundreds of dollars for bottles going for $30-50 back home. Service was awful. We did order a glass of wine each, and the server gave my wife about what you would get at a tasting, a couple swallows at most. When we both looked at her, she poured some more - mostly all over the table. Even the nice French steak knifes were so dull they would not cut. And we were seated at a table with no view. Just a bad experience overall. Come have a drink - then hit the hawker stalls for a better dinner at 1/50 the price.
