“Tasty green Thai curry”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Visited on a sunday evening and sat outside. Small bottle of beer SGD5 so not bad for a restaurant, albeit a basic restaurant. Had green thai curry set meal, very tasty and chicken far better than you normally get in this dish in singapore at basic Thai restaurants. Lime juice isn't fresh, more a cordial. Service... Pretty non existent and some staff speak no English whatsoever. Which makes the fact that they charge for service quite ironic eg go to counter to order your meal, chase up for your set meal dessert, go to counter to pay, have to ask for dinner plates to be cleared when small dessert jelly arrives. But food good, area atmospheric and would go back.

“Authentic Thai food”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

Great little Thai restaurant serving wonderful Thai food. As someone who is half Thai I would say the food is pretty authentic. I like the fact that most dishes come in three sizes so you don't have the problem of ordering too much. Prices are better than reasonable. If you go on a Friday night, be prepared to wait for your table. I can't wait to go back.

“Jai Thai = Jai Siam???”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

I heard Jai Thai the 1st time from ironladychef website; and she mentioned this as one of the best affordable Thai resto in SG. She mentioned there are 3 location for this resto but when i go the website i found the 4th location which is in Dhoby X-Change; so we go there on March 2013. The 1st thing that i notice is the name "Jai Siam" not Jai Thai; so i wonder whether it's the same or not.
We order prawn cake, prawn tamarind, seafood fried rice, mango salad, clear tom yum. All is delicious, except the tom yum maybe because it's a little bit spicy and that's the only flavor that's outstanding from it. The winner of all is the Mango Salad; sour, spicy, fresh and crunchy - thumbs up. The price also affordable.
