Nice and cozy hotel in China town.
Feature of hotel – super small rooms (around 8-12 sq.m.). However, they are comfortable and stylish enough, standard queen/king size bed, good enough bathroom. Only one discomfort - if you have large luggage, there is no place where to open it.
Chinatown is interesting area to stay for tourist in Singapore (after Marina Bay, of course). Hotel is just 3 mins walking from metro station “Chinatown”. It has a good location to reach a lot of city sightseeing’s (4 direct metro stops to Sentosa station, 3 direct stops to Bayfront, Marina Bay Sands). A lot of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby (very popular “Si Wei Mao Cai” restaurant, for instance). Indian temple in 10 mins walking is interesting place for sightseeing.
Overall, very good price for city center location.
We are ready to stay at Porcelain hotel on our next trip to Singapore.

Rooms are lovely, every facility you need. Great location, close to train and china town mall and shopping.
Just let down by rude arrogant staff who do not even try to help you. We had an issue with a card not being accepted and it took about 10 mins to transfer funds into another account- the whole time we got attitude and rudeness from the lady in reception. After flying/traveling all that day, it took all our control not to be rude back. We just wanted to check in and sleep!! Would not recommend it based on our experience. Many other boutique hotels in same area.

By now, if you have been reading reviews here, you should know that yes, the rooms are small. But you get what you pay for, and we had a reasonably nice experience here. We travelled very light this time (only carry on bags) so the lack of closet space etc did not bother us. (no closet... only 4 hangers on the wall) I can see if you plan for a long stay it could be more problematic. However, we noticed you can slide your luggage under the bed or the table. Our only complaint is that our room was quite noisy.. It turns out that there is an open vent above our window, so we could hear everything from outside, including garbage trucks every night at 1am. If There is only a shower curtain separating the shower area and the rest of the bathroom , so the bathroom floor will get wet. Sure, there are some minuses here... but keep in mind this is a budget hotel, and the location really can't be beat. The wifi worked perfectly for us, and the small room didn't bother us since we spent most of our time sightseeing. If you are in Singapore for a short stay, this is not a bad choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not have an open vent to the street... it is very noisy at night with the g...

I got a very small room for my daughter and me. It had a nice design, but a very small window. The shower was a nice "waterfall" shower.
The location was perfect for us! Extremely close to the China town MRT station and a lot of restaurants, shops and tourist attractions.
Nice staff.
Overall we had a good stay.

I was shocked at just how small the rooms were and some without windows just like a shoe box. So claustrophobic. I asked to be moved and got a larger shoe box with a window. Nowhere to unpack or put belongings. Never seen anything like this before. Location in Chinatown good and near MRT station. Plenty of local restaurants with cheap and good food.

Room Tip: Get room with window at front of hotel.

If you need to use wifi /skype for work, business etc, don't stay here fullstop- plenty of reviews show this is a longstanding issue. I tried for hours to reschedule a flight, really aggravating!

Also the staff attitude is a little bit relaxed, I called down for an iron, the reply was "Now?" They did redeem themselves later and were more helpful.

Again judging by the reviews, just pay the extra for a 'deluxe' - the room is pleasantly decorated but was still very small, bed against wall etc. you have to walk through the shower to the toilet, quite hazardous with a wet floor.
Best thing was the location, but this is really a dressed up budget hotel.

The room we got here was tiny! It was actually only enough room to open one suitcase at a time but it was clean and the location was good. We stayed here for a one day layover, which I would do again but any longer than that and I would probably look elsewhere. The AC also worked great and the staff was very helpful. We bought discount tickets for the Night Safari at the front desk.

The one bad thing is it is difficult to catch a taxi and Singapore taxis charge ridiculously high booking fees if you call ahead (around $10).
