“Pleasant surprise”

This hotel is hidden in Little India. Was a bit sceptical when we walked into the area and street, but when we arrived it was just like in the pictures. Very classy and modern hotel. We had the option between a room with or without window. The last one is more spacious, but we still went for a room with window since we would be there only for two nights.
Loved the whole layout and interior of the room. They don't skimp on the details in this hotel. The bathroom has a see through wall and a rain shower, which I loved! one of the best showers I ever had in a hotel.
Breakfast was superb, a lot of choice for a continental breakfast.
Staff is very helpful and professional.
Location was ok, not too far from MTR station and lots of malls nearby.

We booked a deluxe room with a so called long bath tub. Apparently the bath tub was no bigger then any normal tub. It was utterly disappointing. Paid $240 to stay in a one star hotel... The breakfast was the most pathetic ever. Bottom-line dun b fooled by the photos on the website.

Could not believe my luck in staying at Moon Hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
I have travelled around the World and cant ever remember getting a FREE Mini bar in my room. Then there were 2 hours from 5-7 pm where you can get 4-off FREE drinks down at the bar. I just could not believe it and had to ask 3 times to make sure.
My room was small but very clean and good looking. Ideal location of hotel made it easy for me to explore. I just love this hotel and will certainly stay there again when I return.
JUST FANTASTIC value for your money.

This hotel has the smallest room I have ever seen. I would guess it was not bigger than the cell of a prison. The place where you can walk is about 10 feet. There is only a bed, no windows, a small shower, and of course no place for a chair or table. You have to watch TV from the bed. It's not a room, it's a cell. I heard that Japan has places like this, but never thought I would find it in Singapore. What disturbed me the most was, that you can look into the toilet. So you can see your partner doing business. If you want to get a real breakfast, you better be an early bird. They claim to serve the last meal at 10:15, but if you are there at 9:30, you won't get a proper meal no more: No eggs left, no bread. And the beans were cold. And don't expect to have any cream cheese, diet jam. They don't even know what sweetener is, actually. And they started to clean up the breakfast at 10:05, too. They call themselves a 4-star-hotel. But there is no way you can compare this hotel to a 4-star hotel in western countries. It hasn't even the standard of a Hotel Ibis. Anyway, comparing to a western standard, like in the States or European countries, this hotel would be more like a 1-star-hotel.
And now about the positive things: The stuff was very friendly and helpful. They have a free and fast internet connection, the mini bar was complementary (but no diet stuff inside). I think they try to compensate the room size with more complementary stuff, which is okay. They really try hard to make your stay worthwhile, even they do not know how to serve breakfast and have extraordinarily small rooms.

The Moon Hotel is a small hotel but has great staff and facilities. Most rooms have no window and no lounge or sitting area but I knew that prior to booking (I was also advised at the time of check-in). The staff were fabulous and the rooms compact but very functional. A complimentary mini-bar is topped up each day with 2 beers, 2 waters, 2 soft drinks and 2 fruit juices. Complimentary breakfast and wireless internet are provided. Tea and coffee are available from 6.30am until 10.30pm as well as available in your room. Complimentary cocktails are available from 5-7pm each day (full range of spirits, aperitifs, beers and wine). I would not recommend this hotel to a family travelling with children but it definitely meets all the needs of a couple or a solo traveller. I will definitely use this hotel on any future visits to Singapore.

Negatives: Small windowless poorly lit room with bed mounted on a 50cm high plinth which provides a real hazard to moving about. No chairs or provision for cases, no privacy in toilet area and poor containment of shower water splatter. Air conditioning too cold in all areas Breakfast provision was near disaster with inadequate seating and poor replenishment of food stocks - many frustrated and annoyed guests.
Positives: Colourful and interesting area. Hotel is generally clean and staff good but seem poorly organised. Complimentary drinks and wifi provision appreciated.

The Hotel is clean but the room are really small. Most of them has no windows. It like leaving in a box. Impossible to stop the air conditioning. The nights are cold.
