A leisure walk around the Marina Reservoir at Marina Bay. Enjoy the breeze and the famous Singapore skyline. Sitting in front of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands while looking at the sky is awesome! Recommended is 1 to 2 people.

It’s a place where old meets the new along this ever-expanding public walkway with plans to extend it even further. As we strolled along we had the cooling water and the distinctive architectural skyline that is the new Singapore.

Still remaining in this area though are a few heritage buildings that are grand reminders of the city’s colonial past. The Merlion stands sentinel over the waters with its very special brand of welcome and the setting has changed from a bustling waterway to that of alfresco restaurants and cafes, lighted walkways, sculptural art, palms and greenery.

Impressions of an earlier eclectic heart can still be experienced to some extent at Boat and Clarke Quays. This promenade is a clean, upscale idiosyncratic modernisation of the waterfront. As pleasant as it is to escape the heat of the city centre along this walkway, (we did enjoy coming here) it now seems a little sterile while recalling that past ‘bum boat ‘atmosphere.

Enjoy your visit!

A lovely atmosphere and appeared very safe. Also Plenty Restaurants of all varieties to experience.
A very coll breeze prevailed which was a relief from the heat.

Walked the Waterfront Promenade with my partner and remember nothing but good times. Especially, after stopping off for some ice cream. We walked this way on our way to the Crane Dance just off Sentosa Island. Beautiful views of the water and city.

It is nice walking on the waterfront promenade and in the evening you get to enjoy the nice lights of the sky scrapers.
