After booking several months in advance and being full of excitement we arrived at the brewery. Upon checking in we were told we needed the credit card we booked with to confirm our reservation. This is fine except I believe they charged my card again, as did several other couples. We all may have misread this but a smile and no explanation was all that was on offer. Ill await the statement. A couple from Perth had left their credit card at their hotel and were made to pay again. They were irate and would had left had they not spent $25 on a taxi getting there. The people who did the best were the 10+ backpackers who turned up 2 minutes before the tour was due to start. They were allowed to pay cash (had no booking) and at this stage may have been the only people who were allowed to pay only once. This swelled the tour to over 30. The tour itself could well have been wonderful. But the girl taking it spoke so fast and in "singlish" that I understood less than 10% of what she said. Several people asked her to slow down she said "ok ok" but nothing changed. The tiger taven is an excellent venue and the hosts were very genourous with beer poured over the next 45 min. This could well have saved the day; except when we asked the receptionist outside the tavern to order us a taxi she laughed at us and refused to do it. It was Friday afternoon there was no chance of getting a taxi. She told us the only hope was if someone on a later tour arrived and we could fight everyone for their taxi. Let me emphasise the brewery is in the middle of no-where. It takes a walk, a bus and the MRT if you can't or don't want to travel by taxi
