I had booked a Studio loft for a 2D1N staycation. Upon arrival at around 1pm, I was glad that the staff allowed early checked-in as well as a room upgrade to a Premier loft. However, the male staff(Prem) at the front desk spoke too fast and his explainations about payment details and the mini-bar was unclear and vague.
Furthermore, I was also given the wrong room number. When me and my friend entered the room, proper housekeeping wasn't done so I thought it was a mistake due to early checked-in that is why the bedsheets are not done, kettel and the other stuffs were still in the drawers. So I called the front desk, and they told me to hold on while they get the housekeeping team to attend to us. We sat the in the room for near 30 minutes but there was no one coming to attend to us, so we switched on the housekeeping switch. Within 5 mins, they came and told us to proceed to the front desk for a change of room. According to one of the housekeeping staff, the room we were given was under chemical cleaning. The front desk issued a new room for us and allowed a later check out timing at 2pm.
In the evening, I tried calling the housekeeping twice and nobody picked up. The second call was hung up too. I then called the receptionist to ask for utensils for the room. The call was transferred to the cafe, then back to the housekeeping. This time round they also took about 20-30mins to send the ice and utensils up. I hope the hotel can look into their manpower issues.
The room may be a little small as compared with the pictures on the hotel's webpage, nonetheless it's a cozy place. The bedsheet and linen are really comfortable and cozy. The toilets though small in size, but the cleanliness is really good. However, I'd smell cigarette smell despite booking a non-smoking room and there's stench coming from the carpet and the small sofa. I hope the hotel will look into this matter as well.
If the facilities in the hotel, quality of the facilities and amenities around the hotel can be improved, I will still look forward to coming back.
