It was my friend's idea to book this place. My first expression was the location of the hotel is near the MRT, and near the shopping areas. Not bad. Just a few blocks away. The people are friendly and hospitable. Our room is located in the basement, so our room does not have a window, but I didn't mind, coz I don't like waking up when the sunlight is too bright. Room is very clean and spacious, and so is the toilet and bathroom. Every day they clean our room, change the sheets and towels. Thumbs up to cleanliness. They also have free wifi. We also have a free breakfast buffet from 7am -10am. Food is ok. On our last day, we were given a free cab to the airport. Price is 145SGD per night. Not bad. To me, I like the hotel and their services, no disappointment. I'd still choose this hotel when I come back to SG.

In general, the hotel was ok. I've been to Singapore several times but it was my first time to stay in a hotel. I was staying with my sister on my previous visits. So, I don't really have a comparison of this hotel with other hotels in Singapore.

The breakfast they offer was good except that they don't really change the menu. So every morning you get to eat the same stuffs.

The room my friend and I stayed in was quite small. The bed and everything else is very small too.

Our room is in the end of the hallway. The wifi signal is very poor. You would have to stand by the door to be able to connect with the internet!

The location of the hotel would require around 15-20 mins walk to the Bugis Junction. There is a subway within walking distance too. The surrounding of the hotel is very quiet specially at night.

The hotel staffs were very kind. They were very helpful.

Room tip: Better not to choose basement rooms..

stayed in this hotel in dpauls group tour for 3 nights in room 101 and 102. i realy find only one problem in 101 that is of ants and mosquitoes howevr location is good and so the approach to indian restros

I spent 3 nights here on a short holiday with my sister- overall felt it was good value for money. Clean, modern rooms although very small. The swimming pool was under maintenance whilst we were there, and will be for the next 3 months which is something we wish we had known before staying as this was the main reason we booked. The breakfast was a mixed selection... Toast, cereal, coffee, orange juice every morning, then different Asian foods like egg fried rice, fried fish, fried chicken. Staff friendly, but were unable to give us information about transport to tourist attractions ( we asked about getting to the zoo, to sentosa island and then getting a bus into Malaysia. Unable to help with any of these things). Perhaps there was a communication barrier. Not hugely relevant, but something I found amusing- one of the staff asked if I'd been drinking one morning. I was a bit surprised, given that it was 9am and asked why. She replied 'because your face is so pink!'. I am blonde, with fair skin, so am often a bit pink in the Singapore climate... I found this funny, but in future would advice the staff not to comment on their guests skin colour, because I think some people wouldn't have taken this so well!!

Overall though, and enjoyable stay. Thank you.

wake able distance from restaurants,we stayed for 3 nights, bathroom was very clean. only problem was that we had to carry our luggage upstairs with out lift. (as we stayed in the old building i hope). Restaurant was fine,as we were veg we hadno option but only bread & fruits.. Even noodles had egg in it. Rest was fine.

Room tip: choose the 1st floor

First room that entered I see hairs on the floor, dead fly in the basin dirty towel in the washroom floor! I approach the front desk and manage to get a room change with the FO lady going to the room while I went in to the second room given however second room was worst!

Second room with dead fly on the bed and dirty washroom worst thing is I was given a used shampoo! I strongly believe not even a 2star hotel would do this.

I manage to get the lady from the previous room that she's in and her replied was the housekeeping did not clean up the room promptly. Of course I know that but how can they sell a room like this to a guest? This is not acceptable at all!

Thank you very much for your patronage at Santa Grand Hotels and your feedback about our Hotel Bugis. We regret to hear about the unpleasant incident that occurred during your stay with Santa Grand Hotel Bugis.

We sincerely apologize about our inadequate housekeeping effort resulting in the rooms being not in a condition of a hygiene standard that we pursue. Whilst there is no room for excuses, only continuous improvement, our recent shortage of housekeeping staff required us to employ some part-time labour that are not sufficiently trained. We have since counselled our housekeeping team and took corrective actions to rectify the situation.

Your highlighting of the situation has prompted us this positive and we are grateful of your feedback.
