There are both positive and negative sides to this hotel, as to many others. I was, however, positively surprised after having read many negative comments in here.

The staff is super friendly, and even though we were not able to check in when we arrived (understandably, it was 7.30 AM) we could leave our luggage there and go explore Singapore for a couple of hours. We we given our room at 1 PM.
Our room was quite small (not much room for our luggage, as the bed took up nearly all the floor space - and the shower was above the toilet, so the whole bathroom was soaked when I'd taken a shower), and the bed was terrible. It was small and hard, and not at all comfortable.

Our window was facing the "highway" outside, but we weren't bothered by traffic noise at all. Instead, the noise from other people opening and closing the doors to their rooms in the middle of the night woke me up a couple of times, so a good tip is to bring ear plugs.

Even though the room was small, floor planning was good. It also looked newly renovated and clean. I don't think I would have stayed there for more than one night though.

We were very surprised by the fact that WiFi was not included. We had to pay 10 SGD for 10 hours, with one logon only. Wifi is actually something I expect to be free and available in such places as Singapore these days, and the fact that I had to pay so much for such a poor service, really annoyed me.

The hotel is far from the city centre, and quite far from the nearest MRT station (Harbour Front - about 10 min by foot). There's a 24h 7Eleven right next to the hotel, and the Vivocity shopping centre, including the Sentosa Monorail, is really close.

I don't think I'd choose to stay in this hotel again (or any Fragrance Hotel, if the internet and bed situation is the same in all their hotels). I guess I'd rather spend some more money and be closer to the city centre and have WiFi included.

I heard stories about how small the room in this hotel, but still overwhelmingly suprised when first see it ownself!

Stay in there for just one day, before having trip to Kuala Lumpur. The reception is really small, but the staff is friendly and smile everytime, which is good. Located near Vivo City, actually can be reached by walking. beside the hotel there is a small seven eleven booth, so you won't run out off snacks.

My room is only adequate for 2 persons, in such at efficient way, until moving around the room become really hard. There are really no spare room , it seem that the room only fitted for the bed itself. The airconditioner really cold, maybe because of the size of the room. Oh yes, not forgot to mention, the bathroom, it's really really tiny, and they don't give you bath gel.

The good side, the room is equipped with a quite large lcd tv and clean, and it has window facing the street.

This hotel is not recommended for who has claustrophobia, but if you just travel alone and and need access near harbour front area, this hotel will be just fine.

went there last week with a friend. we booked a room for 2.
no early check-in, but you can leave your luggage there

from Harbourfront Station, exit A. and just keep walking until you see the foodcourt, car park, petrol station and a kindergarten. the hotel just next to the kindergarten. (maybe about 15mins by foot)

nice view at night as you can see the lights from the cable car.
if you hungry at 3am, you can buy the food at the 7eleven.

if you want to go to the universal studio, dont take the bus infront of the hotel because its not worth it. too near to pay for $1.2. but if you travel with old people or kids, take a cab.

1st step in, the room was small, but we don't complain as it looks tidy and clean with the price that we paid. ($100/day). We couldn't accept 3 things: 1. no bath mat, the wet feet will never dry after you bath/ 2. the blanket is extremely thin, freezing at night even aircond at 25 degree/ 3. the mattress is wrapped by PVC, very hard!

I booked for a bedroom with 2 single beds or a queen size bed... seems ok then I get to see the room.

Rooms of this hotel are too small. They initially gave me a room with no windows... it felt like being in an elevator ---- claustrophobic.

So I upgraded to a family room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed but it turned out that the family room is just a meter bigger than the regular room they initially assigned to me... well, at least this one has a window.

Cleanliness is ok.. but it needs to improve a lot on comfort, but then again, i realized this is one of those by the hour-hotel.. so you get to see fast a turn-out of guests coming and going in couples.

The walls are pretty thin too though it seems sound-proof from the traffic outside. This hotel is located near the main road, I did not hear the traffic outside but I heard the next door's noises--- the oohhs, aahhhs and laughter and talking and talking.. so if you book here make sure to bring earplugs.

Also bring some airfreshner... or i guess it was just the time of the month that my nose gets awfully sensitive as the halls smell musky with stale-smoke and I think needs airing.

The cost? --- a bit unreasonable considering you get the same from a backpacker's hostel.
