I visited the Museum on Sunday 14 Oct around 2 pm. The counter staff was not welcoming to start off with. Probably there was too much work for her on a Sunday due to the Groupon that most people bought online.

The museum was 5 levels, narrow walkpath between the exhibits cabinets, poor lighting and some of toys were so high up that maybe even Yao Ming could not see so i dont know what is the purpose.
It was not interactive at all, it was exhibits in cabinets, with some descriptions that all. Lack of lighting makes taking any photo hard plus no flash as told by the grumpy counter staff.

Overall we spend a little over an hour in there and probably would have got out a bit faster if it had not cost us that much. We paid like $ 15 a ticket, so i would totally feel the pain for those who paid the full price of $30 for the museum visit.

Totally worth giving it a miss. There are better and more noteworthy museum around in Singapore.

The museum is a quaint little store found near the Bugis shopping area. It consists of around 4-5 levels of toys for the older generation. Admittedly, the displays are quite nice but be prepared for your expectations to dwindle a bit. A floor of toys is basically made up of just one row of shelves. The glass display will showcase the toys the collector has, and after viewing it for 15-20 minutes, you simply move on to the next floor.

For someone who is 23 years old, the displays fascinated me; but only to an extent. It is really catered for the older generation, those who have more knowledge about the toys there.

Sadly, what I do not like the most is the entrance fee for this museum. (SG30) This museum can be viewed with ample time per floor in just an hour, an hour and a half if you read everything including those that bore you. I think that it is overpriced, even though it is still something to see. Not for kids though, i'll tell you that. Maybe when you absolutely have nothing else to do and you're in the area, check out this museum.

Cool museum! Brings back childhood memories. The whole family will enjoy. It closes at 6:30pm but we still got in at around 6:10pm. We thought they wont let us in anymore. We spent few minutes going around all by ourselves like it was a private viewing.

The location itself is rather difficult, I had to ask for direction. It would've been easier if it's said it's near Raffless Hotel. The entrance fee is more expensive than any other museums in Singapore, but hey, if you are a toy freak, than this is the place to be. It's a small place but in my opinion has many collections. There are also collections from other country that will shock you when you see the price tag:D. When you are bored with the shopping, the nightlife and try to have other taste of vacation, then I recommend you to visit this place. it indeed brings memories back:)

This could be a lovely little museum but it seems like it has be built & forgotten.

What is most disappointing is that it is very difficult to actually see the exhibits. It appears that the "architects", who won numerous awards for this place, have forgotten to bring in a lighting consultant.

The result is that the toys are so badly lit that it is difficult to actually see them. Come on guys. There are UV filters that you can put on light bulbs these days. Try an exhibition designer.

Further, a lot of the exhibits are placed so high that it is out of the visibility of the target audience...children. So you end up picking your child up every five seconds. Hmmm. It seems like it was designed by an adult to house an adult's toy collection.

The place is now also suffering from lack of maintenance. One floor has mould all over the ceiling & walls, which just makes the place looks a bit sad. Poor toys, I really feel for them.

On the plus side it has a very good stock of brilliant toys.

Is it worth $15 for each adult? Frankly not in the current condition but with a spruce up and better organization of the exhibits, yes.
