I stay in Choa Chu Kang since 1989. Lot One Shoppers' Mall has always be my favorite neighborhood shopping mall.

I used to visit the National Library at the 4th floor to borrow books. I used to queue in front of A.R.J money changer on the same floor as the library for the best rate to exchange for Malaysian ringgit. I used to have my pizza dinner at Pasta mania at the 3rd level. At times, my daughter would request to have family dinner at Dynasty Paradise restaurant (beside Pastamania) for their delicious xiao long bao, noodle soup and fried rice. Unfortunately, this Dynasty Paradise restaurant has closed down and the shop taken over by Courts as an expanded furniture exhibition room..

In today's competitive business environment, retail shop businesses are not only facing acute competition from other malls in other estates and neighborhoods but also from online platforms like Lazada, Carousell,Zalora, Amazon, RedMart. It seems to be a sunset industry on a declining trend.

However, I noticed a number of shops and restaurants at Lot One Shoppers' Mall has survived and their businesses continue to thrive since I know them in 1989.

The Royal Sporting House, the Siam Kitchen, the Kiddy Palace, Watson, the Popular Bookshop, Guardian and Unity Pharmacies, NTUC Fairprice Supermarket, BHG, Japan Homes, Macdonald, Bengawan Solo are but few of the shops and brands that still maintain a sizable loyal customer base or even expanding despite the acute retail business competition.

Among these old brands, I noticed the business of the Macdonald Restaurant which overlooks the Choa Chu Kang MRT station and Bus Interchange benefits greatly from her niche location at the entrance of the Mall and is always crowded with customers.

The 5th floor roof garden attracts grassroots functions to be held here occasionally and has four cinema theaters and an amusement game arcade. From the roof garden, one can have a good panoramic view of Choa Chu Kang housing estate.

The Food Junction at the 4th floor has a variety of food stalls of international standards. The Japanese bento, the Korean cuisine, Thai hot and spicy food, Italian specialty food, etc and the restaurant is quite crowded during the weekends.

The atrium is always full of exhibitions and promotions from the participating outlets and crowded.

If you have CapitalMall vouchers, it can be used at most shops at Lot One including the NTUC Fairprice supermarket.

The neighboring attractions are also worth a visit. The Choa Chu Kang Park boasts of natural tree setting with community gardens, a children playground and a therapeutic garden. The Keat Hong Community Centre is a new building directly opposite the Lot One Shoppers' Mall and organize many grassroots events and activities.

To me, Lot One Shoppers' Mall sits in the heart of Choa Chu Kang neighborhood and serve the interests of our residents and has always be my favorite neighborhood mall.

Nearest station mall from the Zoo. Nothing much to shop but good for meals with wide variety of cuisines. Very small neighborhood mall

Being right next to Choa Chu Kang MRT, this mall is really convenient. It has the usual cafes, supemarkets, shops, etc. one will find in any HDB heartland malls.
