“Christmas Gift for Boys and their Toys”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

My brother and I did 30 minutes flying the 737 and although the time flashed by it was a great experience and for a first timer there was a lot to take in but we both managed to land in Kai Tak without too much drama - a lifelong ambition. Its really just a big PS3 and obviously the full on simulators that move would have been awesome but I don't think joe public could ever get near that. Its quite expensive but for those frustrated/wannabe pilots I highly recommend.

The staff were excellent and clearly enthused by their product and experience! I would definitely do it again but perhaps prepare longer before about where to land as other than the old HK airport I don't know which others are as fun... Landed at JFK at night was good but you can't be skimming the roof tops of Kowloon!

“Excellent experience”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

I flew the B737NG at this place last week and it was indeed an amazing experience.

I had blocked for a slot on phone and selected my own choice for airport. I was properly briefed about the controls.

Just that it does not have motion. I have updated the entire experience on my blog

“Somewhat pricy for the experience”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

Indeed, it is a flight simulator with many control pedals and instruments. However, the experience was somewhat disappointing. The reason is that you only get to watch a few minutes instruction video before your "flying" starts. This brief time is WAY too short and too uninformative for you be able to take off or land a "plane". For example, what should the speed be when you take off?

Therefore, in essence, you don't have enough knowledge to do the flying yourself, and
basically your instructor does the flying for you. That said, the instructor is friendly and nice
and tries to make this a nice experience. All in all, quite disappointing, especially for the price.

Furthermore, the graphics was (were?) quite underwhelming, unfortunately.

What they should have done is to ask people to come in maybe 30 minutes before their time,
and have a more serious instruction of what to do. Maybe let people read and trying to memorize 4-8 bullet points on what to do to start flying, and same with landing. Then, a person could
have a chance of doing it by themselves, and the thing would be a challenge.

“Only if you dream of being a pilot”
Reviewed May 20, 2014

Imagine a giant console game with real cock pit control, thats what you get when you play the flight simulator.

Your money would be better spent elsewhere but if you really dream of becoming a pilot and for whatever reason would never amount to be one, this is definitely the place to get ya "real" fly kicks (if you are willing to part with your money)

“Surprise Anniv Gift”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

This is a 737-800 simulator with full function but does NOT have motion. I have a long dormant private rating with instrument and very much enjoyed seeing whether I still have the skills. You have a short video briefing about the sim while you wait. I was able to fly 3 quick flights in the hour session including Kai Tak and St Martin. If you give the instructor the airport info you can likely fly anywhere you wish. Instructor was good about giving you advice, adjusting the throttles for you and talking you through the various portions of the flight. Be prepared to have a very sore left arm when you're done - takes a lot of pull even when trimming. Nice to see that a sophisticated sim like this is readily available to the public.

Very much enjoyed this experience and would not hesitate to do it again!
